Even Hull’s cycle lanes aren’t ready for that!

Your new chauffeur should not be allowed to wear a helmet - adds too much weight & reduces efficiency.:emoticon-0100-smile

As in the add check the price on Halfrauds website, if not less than 50% don't bother. Upside, will cope with local potholes, disc brakes, and 'cheap' but reliable components if need to replace. Downside, don't really need front forks on roads, adds unnecessary weight and something else to go wrong. No mudguard eys - so can end up covered in crap off the road, wetter than needed, get fed up, put it in the shed and sell it 6 months later. I would get one for my 14 year old lad.

    Come on
Chazz gets a new job as a chauffeur and everyone’s having a go
Driving at 90 in a 70 is easily done, again and again, and he’s got right around Daddy’s ‘bike to work scheme’ by going on a bike but not pedalling, and putting something back into the local economy too.

'Way of the Roses' Morecambe to Bridlington) over 2 days.
First day fairly brutal with 'Hills' once you hit the Pennines. One in particular outside of Settle I hope. I never do again - I'm not a 'natural' climber and age and 'Covid-Belly' (c) didn't help.
Day 2 Ripon to Bridlington - familiar roads, very doable.
The route has a 'few bitss' off road, a big chunk into York off road 'cycle' paths and Riverside, parks of varying quality, bit before Pocklington through a field on a dirt track. I Have 25mm tyres but 28 or 32 would be better.
Fully supported ride through a company (Sportive HQ) pick up near M62 /A1, hotel in Ripon (Wetherspoons) & transport back, regular food stops, etc and back up etc.

If it's as good as new, as claimed, with a spare set of tyres it's not too bad. If you went to a shop looking at a shop-soiled item I don't think you'd get 30% off list would you?

That’s why I run a 105 groupset. Have previously had Dura-Ace - prefer the Matt black finish on 105 and the trickle down technology means there’s not a great deal of difference in performance.

Can’t comment on the technology but daughter just cycled from Leyton to Nth Leeds and on to My house in Hull over 2.5 days . Hardest part she said was finding a B road route from Nth Notts to Leeds , plus a long straightish boring route from Cambridge
She paid about £3k for her bike I picked it up and put it in the garage with almost one finger !
She got the train back - to play in a tennis final ! Think she’s a sport obsessive - wonder where that came from ?

Was she visiting people in Nottingham? I'd have expected her to head up towards Lincoln from Cambridge, and cut back across?
