Glory progress report

I am surprised he can get insurance Moe and me were going to Toronto for 2 weeks but the quote I got for insurance was £1300 really exhorbitant so we stick to touring Scotland at the end of the month
Hope the old codger is doing well when I lived there I took out insurance through Adeslas

The UK has ‘reciprocal’ healthcare arrangements with all countries in the European Economic Area (EEA). This means that UK citizens get free or reduced cost medical treatment.

Eric believe me its not true for example if you need a doctor it cost 75 euros and the national health kis not like ours .Mt father inlaw went into Son Duretta in Palma and was put in the corridor until I complained.He was then moved to share aroom with a boy who had a badmotor bike accident .After 1 week they said you have to repatriate him even though he lived with me iN mallorca

The health cover only applies for temporary stays, holidays etc. If you are a permanent resident then you have to do as the locals do and get your insurance.

Sorry Eric but most locals are covered by the state I took out private health for my self my wife and her mother
My Mother in law was infact 76 when she arrived to live with us and private health is restricted to 60 however I saw a loop hole in the system whereby if we added Moes son who was 26 at the time the average was 51 and the insurance company agreed to accept her provided we paid for John as well
She was admitted the next day to Clinica Juaneda suffering from a mild heart attck !They were not happy!

Sorry 60 what I meant was if you become a resident in an EU country, e.g. Spain, you have to take out the cover but for holidays then it should be fine
