Glory has been in touch with Matt re a possible pardon and rejoining the board. Here is my take on the matter and suggestions. Much of the strife previously with glory were the protracted arguments with some posters. It led to pages and pages of tripe that most weren’t interested in and frankly got bored trying to find anything worthwhile to read among all the ****e. Glory was involved in most if not all the spats. No argument there. Probation is a fine idea but also remember he has an argumentative side which he’s not going to alter nor should he be expected to. . I’d suggest taking it a step further whether glory is allowed back or not (I hope he is) and introduce a separate bar room brawl thread. Sole purpose will be to direct posters there wanting to have an extended argument. If not being adhered to, mods could simply step in and remove the bullshit if on any other thread and merge into the bar room brawl thread and let the offending parties battle on. Many advantages to this. Easily offended posters will soon learn to ignore the thread while anyone wanting to join in will know what they’re letting themselves in for. A great deal of his contributions were of benefit to discussions here over the years also. After all even murderers are eligible for parole at some point and this isn't the worst time ever to extend the hand of friendship in my opinion

If we were to have a vote I would vote positive life’s too short to hold grudges forever and a day

Some fair and valid points there Eire. But your opinions are from a friend of Glorys point of view. Maybe someone with an opposite opinion should put forward why the ban shouldn't be lifted. I'm just playing devil advocate here by the why and although myself and Glory butted heads on many occasions, I personally don't have a major problem. Although, it's up to our mods and the sites super mods to make those decisions, not us lowly posters.
I will pull you up on your easily offended comment though. Everyone on here have different levels of sensitivity on here, even you Eire. While some things may offend one poster, another poster might not be.
The other thing Eire is, I thought that Glory had said that he wasn't interested in coming back and also the reporting of the site regarding illegal streams, some posters may still be a bit raw over that.

But like I said, it's nothing to do with me, I'm just putting it out there. <ok>

Surely the same applies to Clive? He appears (never actually found out why) to have got banned for some of his more outlandish (& persistent) views. He's been well surpassed in this respect by Captain Jackboot, yet for him the war is not over. Clive never abused anyone personally, as I recall, yet our resident goalkeeping 'expert' aims personal abuse at anyone who questions his views, or simply presents an opposive viewpoint. Perhaps he gives good head? <whistle><yikes>

He did apologise for the illegal stream thing and regretted ever saying it. All fair points shaks and why I started the thread. May I suggest putting it to a vote to aid the mods in their decision making as ultimately it will be their decision

Don't believe Clive was ever a Leeds fan, more of a TC second account if you ask me.

Before we get carried away with individual cases again, I wish to mention that I still have the same view to present that I first brought up way back when Leeds60 was banned. It's quite simple, & sensible. Draw up a punishment escalator. Presently, it's 0-60 in an explosive rant - i.e. banned for life. End of.

Why is there not an escalator path to follow - thread ban, day ban, week ban, month ban etc., leading up to the sine die ban that is the only thing we have on the menu presently? Why do the mods either oppose this, or just choose to ignore my request for its consideration?

Last time Clive burst in on here he made loads of valid points & upset no-one. Sadly for him, appearing simultaneously with Bluememe probably got him the bullet. Murdered by association, eh? Lovely.

I agree totally, it's been a long time, and with most of us being in the higher risk age groups for Coronavirus, let's move on together, we might not all be around by the time this ****s finished MOT.

I didn't know he apologised(although that's none of my business) so fair play to him. You could suggest to the mods to put it to a vote, although IMO like I said before, I think it's ultimately down to our mods/supermods. I mean Leeds60 served his ban and is back. <ok>
