This could be a long runner. I think it should be curtailed, if possible.
For this case, do we really need to engage the supermods?:
* If our local Mods have voted for the status quo, then it should end right here & now. No need to contact the supermods as ban is already in place.
* If our local Mods have voted to lift the ban, then they should surely only have to instruct the supermods to reinstate, as the Mods do not have the tools to make it happen. The supermods opinion should not be sought. I do however acknowledge that things may go on in the background that we don't get to hear about, & the supermods may be fully justified in using their executive powers to over-ride our mods (which they've done before, I believe). It could well be that this particular case if one they can justify, & I get that, just as long as it's not abuse of power.
So where are we on this, Mods? Do you agree that you should be making the initial decision?

The 38 page reference shows we didn't take this lightly. We didn't need BRB to read any of it either.
After all the grief glory caused and a ban from his own teams forum (which leads to an instant site ban) there's a few unanswered questions around if the supermods would be prepared to let him back on. That's all I've got to say about it

No-one said it was.
The reasons behind pages upon pages of mod chat to remove one poster (almost two) is the big mystery - especially when one of said mods is accusing others of secret WhatsApp groups to do exactly the same

I'd be quite happy to see Steve contributing again, but I have been part of no orchestrated campaign to get him reinstated, I just commented when the thread started.

Just to clarify exactly how this started and to put any conspiracy theories to rest re WhatsApp messages or whatever on my part. Glory asked Matt on twitter asking to be reinstated. Didn’t contact me. I subsequently pmd matt to suss out the lie of the land as it were. I then added a few more to the discussion to see if there was any point in starting a thread which I then did. No messages or behind people’s backs stuff and no instigation by glory. Now believe what you like but I think Matt May vouch for this sequence of events. Just thought I’d put that out there given recent suggestions and before thread is closed down eventually. If this contravenes any site rules feel free to delete
