Jordan thinks Life of Brian and Holy Grail aren't funny, therefore his opinion is as valid as Huth's <ok>

they aren't. they're ****. most people who claim it to be funny haven't even seen it, they're just going off word of mouth of mates who are stoner's who claim it to be hilarious

It's not really. There is an underlying climatic cycle, but the current warming trend is sharper, and out of sync with the solar cycle and variations in the earth's orbit. The best explanation we currently have is that it is caused by anthropogenic greenhouse gases.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just like... your opinion, man.

the government will raise taxes for anything. if they can bring in billions and billions over the next few years by scaremongering us into changing certain habits etc they'll do it. global warming is not universally accepted by scientists like everyone would have us believe.

I've seen them both loads of times, and can pretty much tell you what's going to happen scene by scene.

Incredible films <ok>

No one said it was universally accepted. Neither is plate tectonics nor evolution but they are the best theories we have.

Let's say you're right and the government are using it as a way to raise money, that still has nothing to with what is causing climate change. Governments may have hijacked the issue but people are allowing their cynicism about politics cloud their judgement on what is a scientific issue.

the audience that likes monty python are a particular kind of group

very nerdy like. there's ample of quotes for them to hilariously exchange back and forth for hours. also a lack of female presence. also something they approve of.

slapstick has always been ****. its full of silly voices. and generally full of ****.

Obviously your not a golfer.

No, I'm not.

But you're a sad little **** that keeps on coming back even though you've been PM'ing people telling them how sad they are for using this site.

Go away <ok>

So what comedies do you like then?

possibly, but the earth has been heating up and cooling for billions of years. toby, i think it was toby said the latest trend is sharper that previous trends that have been recorded..does that make it global warming? for all we know, a similar sharpness in trend could have occured billions of years ago and is a the norm

I don't know as I'm not a climatologist and I find it amazing how many people on one side or the other who have no scientific background whatsoever are so aggresively convinced about whether it's manmade or not. It's not like there's a lack of evidence on either side, you can choose to believe whichever way you like according to your political/social views. And people do.

Shows how little you know...

It's not slapstick, most of it is pretty well thought out. If you'd ever bothered watching them and had a sense of humour then you'd realise that the silly voices are just their way of acting, not something you should concentrate on. How is the peasant sketch slapstick?

Liking Monty Python does not make you a nerd <ok>

But there's no evidence to suggest this happened.
