Jager- I think we are all looking at the big picture and have been looking at the same big picture for a while! almost 2 seasons to be exact! its not something new its something that hasnt improved. I am sure the club are looking at things but as you said earlier their hands are now going to be tied with the deal that they have, they cant undo bad decisions that were made 6 months ago and this is the second time they got it wrong.

What it smacks of to me is a lack of ambition in the commercial department, im guessing that half of our new sponsers probably had to smash the door down to do buisness with us..<laugh>
If any kind of shop is sold out of its product and sits there empty for 6 months then in anybodies book that is totally mis-management dont you agree ??

I dont think its us fans that need to look at the big picture all things considered, its the people that are running a global buisness turning over £70m quid a year that need to look at things!! if they had their act together sooner then it would probably be £80m not £70m ... <cheers>

We as fans can only do so much, that is buy the product! if we cant buy the product then what else can we do to help our club be successfull ?

Yesterday they had the cheek to send an email offering 20% of all addidas replica.

Surely that is something that we as a club should have sorted prior to agreeing a 3 year contract. So one more season of addidas. lets hope we have learned some lessons.

Yes but when the club got paid millions just for Adidas to supply us you can see its not just a case of supplying us with jerseys. It's a commercial decision and the club has other things it benefits from the agreement.

But things must change we can't be in this situation again, and there must be a hard long look at what can be done to improve things, I think we've been caught out with this, and I would suspect that the order was larger this season than last, but we still fell short. The next time they order I hope they add a zero on the figures they are thinking of.

you would have thought so but it doesnt look like it!! will the club learn the lesson ? as i said before, if Hummell and others arnt sniffing arounf the swans they must be mad! with Laudrup as manager and alot of potential on offer it could be great

We seem to learn lessons the hard way, but I suspect the smaller kit makers will not be prepared to pay millions to supply us, don't forget they pay us we don't pay them. In terms of how many jerseys they ordered I heard it was over 20k for last season and that was increased now they probably ordered somewhere in the region of 30k and we still got caught with our pants down.

Musty i think Kooga maube a good shout, someone different. Dont the Ospreys use them.

One other thing and it has probably been mentioned. This is our clubs Centenary year. There was always going to be an increase request for shirts. Bearing in mind (whether you like the badge or not) it will be a one off shirt. because lets be honest cant see any of us being here for the Bi centenial shirt.

Im not sure how much the addidas deal was worth but they wont be the only company offering money, considering they cant get product out to us im not sure if they have cost us potential millions..<laugh>

its all very difficult but 2 yrs running we have lost out ,if that is down to us or addidas or both parties im not sure about all i know is that big mistakes are being made on a regular basis and thats bad for buisness -simples.

Very true Norway, as I said I'm not defending them as I don't know the details of the deal. But there is a difference from 2 seasons ago and now, we've been promoted to a higher league and we've never had to have demand like now.

But it shows we need to learn lessons, how many clubs are supplied by Adidas up here ? The gunners are one, do we here of any these problems with them ?

Stoke and west brom spring to mind, similar clubs and od course basically had the same template kit as us last season , their shirt is available to buy on line so i dont see them having the problems.

It is probably down to our club and the way we do things. If the club is getting paid x amount of money to have addidas then im sure they could at least be a bold and order an extra 5000 shirts they at least know the money paid to them will soften the blow if they had a 1000 left over! the more we look at it the more it looks like small mindedness and penny pinching by the swans that has backfired two seasons in a row !

If those are left over they can sell them cheaply the following season, the £63 my wife paid is nowhere near the cost of purchase by the club, it's a huge profit margin for the club. Another thing they could do with excess jerseys would may be donate them to people in hospital, I'm sure it would bring a smile to patients faces and win us some life long supporters.

As i said earlier Jager. Some parents have to wait for the sales in order to buy their kids Swans shirts. Not everyone can afford the price of the shirts. They would always get rid of the shirts at cost. Always used to go and get some holiday shorts at the end of the season.

Agree Jager, there are reasons for having a few over stocked than under stocked!! not only that but its the centenary shirt so they could keep it in the shop for a few years if they wanted and people would still buy it as a souvenor or something!
