So Martinez is a poor manager who Dave Whelan should have sacked then? After all, when Martinez took over from Bruce they were mid table but lived in the relegation zone under Martinez. Making everything you said above bullshit. Whether Laudrup was a poor manager or not will be borne out between Saturday and the end of the season...can't wait to hear your excuses if the worst happens.
God help us. I doubt there is any truth in this. I heard last night Gareth Southgate was in the running. Just stupid names who are touted for every job going. I would expect either Graeme Jones or a name we haven't yet though of to eventually take the job.
Btw, this is touched upon in the new Downtime Guys Video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI6SD4Ywd5U
Got to be honest this decision is baffling me.I agree results have been poor but and its a huge but if we had Michu fit it would have given us more points than we have.Any team losing their star player would struggle.I for one have questioned ML tactics on occasion(playing Amat in midfield for the west ham game). Its just the timing I find this criminal.Yet we have all heard of the unrest at the training ground and the possible departure at the end of the season. So this is a very awkward situation for HJ.Bottom line time its a must win sat!Whoever is in charge all we can do is support our club
Don't think we need an Hoddle type manager we need someone in the mold of Martinez that can keep our way of playing going ,as you say Jones knows the way we play so maybe hoddle wont get the job. Hope monk can gel a win from the team on sat and we win the Derby
Got to say not been on the Swansea site for a while but when I herd Laudrup had got the sack I could'nt believe it I know things have not been going to plan of late but with a quality management like Laudrup running the team a sacking is not the way to go like in every club the team must get some of the blame for the way thing's are going anyway good luck with your next manager who ever it may be. But please not Hoddle that would be a shocker?
And Monk has inherited Laudrup's team. So by that logic, whether we stay up or go down, it's all because of Laudrup's team. LOL.
Yes, because they wanted Laudrup to stay so that we'd fill one of the relegation spots. Also, the majority of football fans treat things like fantasy football. They've heard of Laudrup so that must mean he's a great manager. If Monk had been the manager all season, many on here who think Laudrup should have stayed would probably be saying Monk should go. I suspect those that wanted Laurup to stay like having a big name manager.
Amat was selected because his greater physical presence was needed to try and deal with the aerial threat of Carroll. It was an intelligent call that back-fired because Amat failed to do the job - along with Williams (as usual) and Chico.
Actually there's a few on the Liverpool, Newcastle and Sunderland board who understand why he has gone. After all Pulis has won the same amount of league games as us this season with Palace.
But the fixture list is easier from here on in and with our injured players back. Key players, Vorm and Michu. Laudrup could have picked up the wins we need over the next 5 games to give us a cushion.
Surely then we are close to appointing somebody to take over and Monk is doing this until the new person comes in and then he will join the coaching staff. I'd make Leon a player coach, as for me he is the key man in our system and what better person to show and learn our players how to be comfortable on the ball.
