I agree about Ward - he will go in January but the point about Ayala is .... he certainly is a "promising young defender" but having such promise is only good as long as you realise it upon the field of play and not the physio's table. I like Ayala, I see the promise, but I also see a guy with a frail body who alas will only be available to play 12-20 games tops a season and that's not really good enough. Sorry .... I'd love to be proved wrong as I really rate him as a player but to me he's not a sustainable option.
Apart from NCFC supporters, no one thought Holt was even good enough for the Championship and no hope in the Premier League and yet he proved everyone wrong, and NCFC have more than proved players from league 1 and the Championship are good enough. So when I see someone say this or that player isn't good enough at this level I don't really understand, but it's your opinion, so I respect it. 20 goals this season in the Championship already is pretty good though. But admittedly it would probably be a risk.
