Palm Reading and Tarot cards in a small canvas shelter outside the ground. Bloke is a nutter and he dropped Gazza just for eating a Kebab. Bastard.

I could handle Hoddle cause no doubt he would be Harry's succession plan but Steve Clark ...................... not for me, in fact, can't stand him really.

I don't know why lots of people seem to think that Hoddle is being lined up as a coach with the intention of being Harry's successor.

They said the same thing about McClaren. It never happened. He was not brought in as a Harry successor - and neither will Hoddle.

I know that it sounds good and that posters - including the late and lamented Flyer - will have a field day will all the "Harry Out!" conspiracy theories, but I think that Hoddle has lots of other irons in the fire and that maybe a step back into management isn't a priority of his.

Of course, if the worst was to happen and Harry goes fairly quickly whether it be through poor results, ill heath or having run off with a 25yo blonde from Skegness, THEN he might take over until a replacement can be found.

I'd be more appreciative of Hoddle's efforts coaching, with Harry overseeing it could be an ideal set-up, we certainly seem to be lacking since McLaren left and new ideas from a proven quality coach must be to our benefit...

Yes, I was one of those who was certain McLaren would ( and should of ) succedded Harry and it wouldn't surprise me if Hoddle was to come in, proved and had the desire, to carry on with it.
A lot of if's and buts I know but stranger things have happen .............. and of course it all makes for a bit of extra excitement here on the forum.

Yes indeed, you are bang on, mate.

I think this innovative idea of bringing in fresh coaching ideas is a great idea for freshening up training and giving players new input to their roles and development as footballers. Surprised clubs haven't done this more regularly.
Could also provide many, good, out of work managers with alternative coaching opportunities to help clubs introduce new and alternative approaches to training.

I was hoping we would look to replace McLaren on the coaching field with someone else in January, but didn't happen.

Did well with Swindon tbf just not a fan, Still got us knocked out, and many of those England wins would be against the likes of Moldova & San Marino really. Rohan Ricketts sums him up well:

"Another problem for Glenn was that he is very spiritual which doesn’t sit right in football because most people are very superficial. I remember one time there was a player who was injured and the manager put his hand on their knee. The player was like “what?!” The gaffer had a strong belief that we are more powerful than we think we are but I’m still not exactly sure what he was trying to do."

    Still a Nutter.

Torn over this. Hoddle was once becoming a very good manager, with clear views about the way the game should be played and forward thinking about tactics etc. The 'nutter' tag (justified in my view) set him back a lot, but he still has very strong views and I doubt he will adapt them for Redknapp. Plus, what I saw of him as a pundit during the World Cup was not encouraging - almost totally incoherent.

But I've worked out the masterplan - Redknapp, in a not so coded message to the FA, is getting all the living ex England managers in to work for him, to show how respected he is and what they missed out on. So stand by for Ericsson, Capello (I'm sure he's dump Russia for Loftus Road), Graham Taylor, Keegan and, joy of joys, Terry Venables in our revolving 'guest coach' spot.

Still comments about 'issues' within the management team (and there have been comments that Harry and Kevin Bond haven't been getting along as well as they could). So will be interesting to see if anyone leaves if Hoddle is appointed.
