Absolutely Hoddle is a decent man Harold later in life is trying to pretend he is also What the combination would do to our football should concern the 90% of bollocks we all speak
HOLD ON HOLD ON....!! DT This is the same hoddle that took Swindon from Div 4 to div 1 in 4 seasons? the same one that advocated playing football "on the floor", the same one who put together the best England team for years" the most tactically aware manager that has graced the prem for years. This bloke should replace Harry IMO...Poss one of the best managers we have ever had. No one complained how England played when he was in chaerge....Just the media wanted him gone.... Please come to us GH...We need you !
I think Hoddle would be ideal as a coach rather than a manager, in the same way McLaren is probably a better coach than manager. They do their best work out on the pitch with the players and the difference in our team last season when McLaren was coaching as opposed to when Downes was coaching was plain for all to see...
McClaren v Downes? I think we'd all prefer the former's Formula One to the latter's Syndrome. (sorry)
Thanks Uber, a balanced opinion. Some people certainly like to get hot under the collar about change. I certainly was one, who question when "wally with a brolly" came to our club - how wrong I was. Throughout the WC, I was impressed by GH's analysis of strategies and tactics of various teams, and the fact there have been talk in the press of other clubs interested in Hoddle, you certainly couldn't say Hoddle coming to QPR was completely coming out of left field.
I read an article that Harry is looking to add Glenn Hodle to the coaching staff. Maybe he can fix Tarrabts chi by doing energy healing on whats troubling him or just let get him a nice lass if all else fails. I like Hoddle though, good coach.
Adel married in 2011, but if Glen Hoddle thinks it would make him a more rounded team player.... then so be it.
He's also a complete ****ing idiot, Remember his time as England manager? After getting Steve Black to sort their heads we're going to bring in this total imbecile, god help us.
Wiki says his England managerial record was: P 28, W 17, D 6, L 5. This included guiding us to the 1998 WC Finals in France, the qualification including that excellent goalless draw in Italy. His win ratio of 60% is only bettered by Sir Alf and Cappello - make of that what you will! Yes, he lost the job because of his odd views on reincarnation and the disabled, and partly over his employment of Eileen Drewery. As I understand it, Mr Hoddle has campaigned and raised funds for the disabled and disadvantaged both prior to and subsequent to his dismissal by the FA. I suspect he's done significantly more good in this area than the many that continue to criticise him even now for a stupid remark that he made 15 years ago.
Seems a good idea to me http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-look-to-hoddle-ahead-of-new-season3722 Glenn Hoddle looks set to join QPR before the start of the new season. Manager Harry Redknapp is keen to bring in the former England boss, but the exact nature of his role has not yet been finalised. As things stand, Hoddle, who has also managed Chelsea and Tottenham, is likely to come in as a part-time coach, although a possible broader role at the club has been discussed. The Hayes-born 57-year-old currently has other commitments, meaning he may be unavailable for matchdays but would have a significant training-ground input during the week. Redknapp has previously shown a willingness to add to his already experienced backroom team. Last year he brought in another former England boss, Steve McClaren, who subsequently landed the Derby managerâs job. And the proposed appointment of Hoddle is one of a number of additions to the management team Redknapp has been looking into ahead of the new campaign. Hoddle, who was in charge of the national side between 1996 and 1999, made his name as a player for Tottenham and England. He later took over as player-manager of Chelsea and spent three years at Stamford Bridge. Hoddleâs last managerial job was at Wolves, where he resigned in 2006 after the club failed to win promotion to the top flight. Redknappâs contract expires at the end of the season.
Edited: I may have jumped the gun with the coaching bit. It looks like that's not suggested in the article
