... another wrinkly old duffer who can no longer hold a note <doh>

Elton John ffs,
'Saturday night's alright for fighting to stay awake after Strictly'.
Talking to a couple at Sunderland Empire the other night who had went to see Frankie Valli at Scarborough and they said he was brilliant , he is 88years young and wowed everyone.

Heard the same. Some people can still do it, others should simply just give up!! Not like Elton needs the money is it?

Performers like this will always go down well because they remind people of when they were young.

This will just be Elton John's well worn stage show with the same costumes, fireworks, songs, etc ...

... nowt wrong with that but no surprises or genuine excitement, just Elton's greatest hits.

You already know which song he'll play and what the reaction will be. 'I'm still standing' loads of daft dad dancing ... 'Candle in the Wind' mobile phones swaying and girls sobbing.

Glastonbury is becoming Las Vegas.

Coincidentally I was listening to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in the car (downloaded on a flash drive).. can't really sing-a-long as his range is too high for me. One thing about that era was the echoing sound, I love that.

Love going to the Sunderland Empire and thoroughly enjoyed the Jersey Boys which we have seen a few times , good story , good music , always an excellent cast . The lad playing the part of Frankie Valli is from the North East I believe and his voice is a remarkable likeness to Valli himself .
