I watched Rick Astley and Blossoms do Smiths covers. Wasn't as bad as I thought. Shame it wasn't The Smiths or just blossoms though

 

She does play a good bassline.

Enjoyed that performance, not sure the security did when the lead singer went in the crowd

I am off to old goats grumble later in the summer. All tribute acts, and mainly just a piss up for 10 of us who have been mates for years. Listening to some of the mus8c so far I am wondering if it may not be better.

 

No but I quite liked them, mind you I have no previous knowledge of what they were like before, not being a fan and having no knowledge of them other than the one hit single, but generally I don't mind musicians developing in new directions rather than sticking rigidly to the script.

Yeah, I know Axl has had some worked done but that's definitely not him on BBC1

 

He's put some weight on and the rest of the band look like ompah lumpers

 

They where originally high tempo Brit pop indie that got people jumping about, then went off on a pub crooner, Vegas bar show vibe. Now it's all they do, even the older stuff has changed into a bad Vegas version

 

Axl's vocal range isn't there anymore but they still class!

Mad isn't it. Couldn't believe it when I watched it earlier on. He is going a bit Ratpack type of stuff which their earlier stuff definitely isn't. It was in your face, up tempo stuff.
I haven't listened to their later stuff tbh, what I've heard on the Radio has been enough for me to give them a wide birth.

 

Never heard of this Lizzo. She's energetic I will give her that
