Gazza was/is a complete knob. Could he play football? Elton had a massive addiction problem and I suspect this was at the centre of what is happening there. Even if it's just him being an unprofessional twat, in my opinion, he still has an amazing back catalogue and is one of our greatest ever song writers. He's also a fantastic pianist.
He's certainly lost his falsetto. I thought his voice got stronger as it really warmed up during the set. Not bad for his age, especially compared to someone like McCartney, who's really lost his voice.
****'s sake. I didn't say you didn't. I wasn't making excuses for his behaviour, merely offering an explanation. He's undoubtedly been an annoying diva over the years, but that doesn't stop me appreciating his talent. Hence the Gazza analogy.
Thought Elton was great to watch, probably one of the best in the business and his band were class. All hitz no ****z.
Will find out... last message from daughterv2 ...was she was at the barrier front central. Not heard from her since
So Thundercat definitely played. Daughter v2 said "Thundercat was a religious experience " I take that as a good thing
Isn’t that a bit like saying, “yeah I know Hitler had his flaws and killed millions of innocent people in his lust for power….but that doesn’t stop me appreciating the way he could deliver a rousing speech at a Nuremberg rally”
Glad he still played. Read that apparently he hadn’t agreed for his set to be filmed. Shame would have like to see his set. Glad she enjoyed it though

It is. But not 'just'. I, for one, am not at all surprised that once kids become adults in spite of the abundance of sources of music available to them which were not available when we were growing up the music they want to download copy or stream comprises to a large extent of the music from the 50s to the 80s. In my case that is not because I played it all the time because, frankly I didn't. Still, I suppose we'll see who stands the test of time better. I'll make a prediction which, if you are still around, you can hold me to. Nobody will remember or know Ed Sheeran's music in 20 years time but the teens at that time will still know and enjoy the Gods and Goddesses we grew up with.
