Loving Glastonbury some good live act and more to come today, looking forward to seeing Sots at the Bimble Inn
Remember my first in 07. Blokes canoeing down next to the John peel tent. Madness. Has its own weather system.
Have I slept on Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds? I was an Oasis fan but tired of them a bit towards the end. Very soon after they split and released their own singles, I listened to them and decided that I didn't like either as much as Oasis. So I've never paid any real attention to either of them since, but just turned on to Noel's Glastonbury set and enjoyed it. Are his albums worth a listen?
Never been to Glasto, and as a 46yo bloke I doubt I ever will. I've always imagined it to be an absolute scrum with people elbowing you out the way for bars/toilets/decent views of various stages and loads of drunken arseholes puking up and nicking your bog roll. For those of you who have been, am I incorrect in my assumptions?
Just been watching khruangbin from yesterday on iplayer. Never heard of them before....excellent stuff. Thought I would NGHFB a try.....lasted two songs. Back to iplayer it is then....Sleaford Mods.
Just watched Rufus Wainwright and loved everything about it. Saw him perform 'Who knows where the time goes' at the Royal Albert Hall, 2016 Music Awards ... ... stunning.
Lucky you. My middle son is a musician and loves Oasis, I don't. His mate dropped out of seeing NGHFB at Glasgow SEC so I went with him. Brilliant show and excellent musicians but left me totally flat ... ... the best bit was sleeping in the back of the van in a back street.
Was that from today or yesterday? Might have to have a watch. Sure he's related to Martha Wainwright. Loved the song she done with Snow Patrol, Set the fire to the third bar.
Love Rufus me!! Me n The Mrs have seen him a few times. When he has a band with him, it really is a great gig. Bart
Haim and Self Esteem were both excellent today. Not seen much else that really grabbed me - I haven't seen Big Thief or Black Midi performances though which I was looking forward too.
