Hi ho silver lining works better imho, more ours too.
Agree about apsongs for players too. James Chester was superb on and off the pitch in his time here, never got a song at all, yet a **** talentless **** like mcshane did. Madness
Perhaps we could sing this when / if the Allme's ever leave ...

mauled by the tigers is hull citys only own song.
waggy oi is a great chant though!!
I know you like to go on about how **** support is now but Christ some of your stories from the past...The bloke who started that chant off in Bunkers stopped going about 1975 and started following FC. He used to deny ever following City despite having Hull City tattooed on his fingers. Waggy came into a pub in Fulham half a dozen of us were in after the match with his mate Barry Rutter in 1972. Waggy was injured and hadn't played. Bought us all a drink. Someone pointed him out to Waggy, who said he had always wondered who started it off. Gave him his gold lighter as a souvenir.
The bloke died 3 or 4 years ago. The mentions in HDM were full of mentions of FC and Old Faithful. Sad how he packed City in as he was good company and could out drink any of us.

We've dozens of songs over the years which have been ours, but slip out the Top30 unnoticed.mauled by the tigers is hull citys only own song.

'Mauled' raises a smile but is hardly inspiring or envied.
'City of culture we know what we are' is sounding a little tired also
Both of course preferable to the dirgey 'Wise men say' which is sung by so many teams .
Mauled only works when we're actually mauling a team! We've dozens of songs over the years which have been ours, but slip out the Top30 unnoticed.

It was **** then too.
Though didn't we have a few of the main men from the Ulltras **** off to support rovers a few years back?
They've probably,come back now![]()
She'l be wearing black and Amber when she comes is a decent one when it gets going ...... Also you can't beat the classic - managers name black and Amber army , nothing clever but good when it keeps going for ages and gets louder - tho disappointingly plenty singing barmy army instead on Saturday
I quite like the more recent 'we're cultured as ****' version.
