You'll not often be accused of making a factual statement Hampy.....;).

I think the 'I Agree with Hampy' phrase was more to do with the lad Marriot but i'm sure you realise this or you would of started a thread to celebrate...;)

Also Hampy i've not seen any insults thrown around on this thread ...just lately it seems to be you that resorts to flinging Insults rather than being a grown up.........

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has revealed that teen striker Jack Marriott is set to join non-league side Woking on a one-month loan.

This should be perfect for the lad IMO.....Hopefully he will score Shed loads.........

If it was a choice of sitting on our bench and coming on for 10mins or going out and playing 90mins week in week out I definitely prefer the latter, even if it is only in the Skrill Premier. With Taylor coming back from loan it would be even harder for Marriott to even get on the bench so this is a good chance for him.

Of course I bloody said that. I think i should know. Do I need the go through all the threads?

I think I have realised why I get so angry on this board it's full of bloody halfwits who have the audacity to pick me up on stuff constantly even when it's bang on the money.

This was about playing a young player when our season is poised ideally to give him a run out and first team players aren't performing. Some numbskull actually picked me up on that comment as if it's something you could possibly counter.

I'm all for people having opposing views but when people are arguing about stuff that's so fundamental and throwing insults around on the top it is time to step back and wonder whether this a place any of us can have a decent debate anymore.

I do recall being surprised a week or two that a decent debate was unfolding on something or another and there were two or three posts of something interesting about where four wins would land us but it is really time to step up the game or pack up <ok>

This thread was about a young guy being chucked into our starting line up. Most people admit they would like to see him but not neccasarily from the start. Noboby appears to have actually seen the lad play and nobody seems to know his style. The general view appears to be he cant be any worse than Nouble.

Sorry for being a numbskull but how is our season ideally poised to give him a run and which of our players then miss out?
As 99% of our fans seem to think that the midfield and supply is at fault then why is changing the front two an obvious solution?

    WOW Just WOW!!

I only suggested that it might be a good move if we started Jack Marriott! Not going to happen now anyway as he has just been loaned out to Woking! <doh>

And therein lies the problem. <laugh> If you read the 90 or so posts on this thread you'll find the answer <ok>

By the way, I don't think many would advocate him starting but he really should have been coming off the bench a handful of times by now this season, but anyway he's going out on loan now. We're pretty good at wasting our young talent at this club in recent years.

Yes, yes but I have no idea what young talent actually means, okay he is by all accounts a bit of a sharpshooter, but this is at a very low level, these days reserve and youth teams in our area are of a very low standard compared to years ago, don't get me wrong, he might turn out to be a top goalscorer, but you can't tell at this stage. Surely the only one that got away was Rhodes, who has proved he is up to Championship level, all the others released appear to be the correct decision

Rather than re-read 90 posts, how about giving a 2 or 3 line overview.
I know Im a numbskull but nothing I can see shows that you are correct!

Believe it or not people do have differing views to the ones you hold....try not to get angry about that and just respect other peoples right to disagree when someone does think differently to you there is no need to call them a HALFWIT,COCKSUCKER or ****WIT name calling imo just shows your losing an arguement.

The way i see it is I don't have an over inflated value of my opinion to other people, its my opinion and i'll share it and put across why i think that, but i don't really care if i sway people to see things from my point of view or if they sway me to see things from theirs.

That said i don't like to be patronised just because i have a differing view

He's 19 now. He bangs goals in. He has got a professional contract. Need I point out that with the exception of McGoldrick our other options are not performing and that's only at Championship level. We take other clubs' youngsters to throw them in at this level so why on Earth not our own? This is not a situation where he has got to compete with Paul Mariner or Marcus Stewart.

His contract is only until the end of the season, if I were him and I didn't get some serious game time after Christmas I would be looking around.

You are the worst at sniping and throwing mud Weighty, it does annoy me a bit I get drawn into it and at times am just as bad but I will try to be more aware of it in future.

It's not about views, that's one thing, our form for example is not a matter of opinion it's there in black and white.

In three lines: we are very unlikely to make the play offs, we are very unlikely to be relegated. The players he was competing with to come off the bench did not perform or look like performing. This is not hindsight, I said this ages ago. We have not won a single point after we've made substitutions. The only stretch by which you could argue Marriot should not have been coming on is if you think we would be more likely to concede goals from his being on the pitch.

    Is this?

"To be fair its been quite a while since you have had a good debate ....maybe you should try and think a bit before you spout out some Patronising drivel.... "

You have been sniping at me for months now Weighty. To be perfectly honest I doubt whether you would have the balls to do that if it wasn't an internet forum, but I don't know you so perhaps that's what you're like in person too.

Yeah of course, I routinely go round calling people things like that for no reason.

It's pretty clear what level your intellect is at. I'm sorry if you feel patronised when I use advanced techniques like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division but I'm afraid it's quite hard to debate football statistics without them.
