He has created a front line of a former manager. He has played the fans favourites card. I love Bayo and Cody to bits but that is not the point, even if it appears to a supporter such as myself an awesome set up. MadDog appears to have lost some of his old tricks or just maybe he has used up the extent of his inventiveness. Last season despite all the early season doubts, we did not know what to expect yet this season we know precisely what Cody and Bayo give. The trouble is so will every other team. I just hope MA still has some of that inventiveness left in him and holds his own style, otherwise we could be going back to L2 with an almighty bang, quicker than the goals going in against the Wall. We took on League One opposition last season with some what great ease. Is the Championship really that great a step. If it is by heck have we got some problems. If you build to quick and dismiss your youth to appease with success, you better have one big cheque book at hand to avoid the slow hand clap.
There was and is no panic, just an assessment of what I saw on the day. As for the banter from the Wall fans I will try not to worry you too much. As you insist on taking the 1st and 2nd halve as separate games it leaves us all square on the day, you won the 1st halve, we won the 2nd. Yes I know you made 7 changes and it was your reserves in the 2nd halve but we made 8 changes and it was our youth team that beat your reserves. ok. You might be lucky and go all season without injury or fitness issues but that's unlikely, then your reserves will be playing against full grown men knowing they can't even beat a youth team.
