McGuinness and Wolfe starting and it looks like 442 with Lankester and Edwards wide with Hawkins and Sears through the middle. No complaints with the line up

Good to see two new CBs, we'll see how that goes.
It's a 4-3-3 with Edwards left and Sears on the right of Hawkins.
4-4-2 for Gillingham.

I'll go for a 2-1 win.

Glad to have Woolfy back in but shambolic decision making to drop both centre backs and leave Chambers at right back. Gills shouldn’t cause us too many problems though.

Looking better up front.

Free kick inside the box as the Gills keeper picks up the ball from a back pass for his first touch <laugh>

The Gills really are there for the taking. It’s a shame we just don’t seem to have any cutting edge.

0-0 at the break then.

A decent half of football that had lots of good play without getting a goal. Gillingham are just as poor as a couple of weeks ago and have offered absolutely nothing, their two strikers drop off into their half without the ball and our CBs and Dozzell have all the time in the world. Our full backs are both playing high up the pitch and are contributing to attacks.Luke has made a lot of overlaps and Ward almost always tries to cross first time if it's on, it so nice to have somebody who can cross without controlling it with the quality balls that Ward plays. Dozzell has been very mobile, roaming a large area just in front of the CBs, timing interceptions and breaking into the final third. Some good passes and I'm happy he's playing very match now as he is becoming more competitive with each match.

From that first half it looks like we've found our CB pairing for the season. Both lads have done well although Gillingham have done nothing to put them under pressure so easy game for them so far. I would like to see them start a run of games together to see how they get on against stronger opposition. Midfield has moved the ball crisply but the space gets tight as soon as we get near the box.

Keep going like that and we'll win this match.
