    That was ****in' garbage!

A first half full of of hoofball and **** 'football'. We can't pass the ball on the deck and we are not effective at the long ball game. The team looks like a bunch of strangers picked up off the street and thrown together and told to go out here and do their best.

Nsiala is a liability again and should get subbed, Wilson is far better. Nolan and Judge have been **** and even Garbutt can't get on the ball. Norwood will probably talk himself into a second yellow because he is so bloody frustrated with not getting the ball in good areas. Jackson has been the best so far.

Lambert is ****ing everything up with his constant switching of the team, we look like a team who have never trained together and it's embarrassing how bad we are.
Gillingham have looked solid with a game plan and with players able to pass it to each other successfully.
We only seem capable of aimless punts and stupid fouls!

Cant believe that at moment we are still lying 2nd after this dreadful run of 8 without a win.

We must take this game, and start fresh momentum.

    Chances now, COYBs

The only good news is 2 rivals lose, Wycombe and Peterborough. And Freddie playing again.

Nsiala gotta go, and why wasnt Downes playing?

Just cant buy a win can we.

Leaving Huws, Dozza and Downes out big mistake. Feel bad for the 22,000 who were expecting a festive match.

Have to say, I’m beginning to agree. Very good at the pr side of things but makes almost as many changes as Hurst did. How Nsiala & Judge get anywhere near the 1st 11 given their form this season is beyond me. If we’d won even 1/2 of our recent games, we’d be away and clear at the top

    Well that was ****!
Almost nothing positive to say about today's match except that Sears got back on the pitch (about 20 minutes later than he should have been though)

First half was a tale of Gillingham looking like a decent side and us hoofing the ball at every moment. Nervy moments from the defenders and the goalkeeper and a non existent midfield that was bypassed at every opportunity meant we didn't create any goal threat and offered plenty of chances to the Gills with poor passing and silly fouls.

Second half was better from us but that still didn't amount to much. Poor movement, poor passing and poor decision making resulted in us causing no real problems.
It's amazing to watch what happens to us at throw-ins. We can't seem to work the ball forward from an attacking throw and invariably it ends up going back to the defenders. It really is something to see!
Our players dive in to stupid tackles in areas where it's just not necessary and our corners today were mostly to the first man and not one of them led to a shot on goal.

It's getting frustrating to watch Ipswich and our incoherent style of play. We have no idea what the team will be from match to match and there is no clear identity on how we want to play football. There is almost no piece of skill or attacking build up that makes you cheer or get excited but there is plenty to get exasperated by.
Lambert's rotation policy is screwing it all up when we should have a settled eleven playing decent football with clear direction instead of the hotch potch style we call football at Portman Road.

Norris - not great today. Some poor kicking and nervy goalkeeping in difficult weather.
Garbutt - didn't overlap as often as normal and his corners were cleared by the first man a lot today. Needs a proper winger in front of him to vibe off, having Judge on that side doesn't help Garbutt at all.
Woolfenden - another good game from Luke. We'll be lucky if we can keep him for next season.
Nsiala - must surely have played his last match. He was terrible again today and is a real liability. I don't want to see him play ever again.
Donacien - quiet game but did what was needed.
Judge - wasted out wide. If Lambert wants him in the team it should be in place of Nolan. I don't think either should be in the team personally.
Skuse - quietly efficient in midfield. Cole actually played the majority of the most dangerous attacking balls today.
Nolan - poor again, brings nothing to the team.
Edwards - another crap game from Gwion. He offers nothing as an attacker.
Norwood - clearly frustrated at the quality of our play. He is always right on the edge of a yellow card when that frustration is directed at the referee instead of his team mates.
Jackson - all running, no shooting.

All in all, that was unacceptable but I'm not going to waste more of my Boxing Day bitching about how Lambert needs to sort it out.

We definitely seem to be going backwards rather than forwards at the moment.Got to pick up soon and take full advantage of the fact we are still in the automatic promotion spots.

NSiala was terrible and nearly gave away 2 goals in the first 20 minutes, Norris tried to join in with a scuffed clearance straight to the opposition who fortunately fired wide.
The midfield has no creativity so we get tippy tappy for a few minutes followed by the inevitable long ball to nobody.
It was a better 2nd half but no goal threat in fact I don't think we had a worthwhile shot all game, all in all a dreadful display with players like NSiala, Nolan, Judge, and Edwards clearly not up to a lowly 3rd division standard.
