That was a decent game. A view from a Sunderland perspective...

When I seen our team and our bench, I was worried about today. I thought you came out and were the better team for the first 35 minutes. You outfought us and it looked like you wanted it more and deservedly held the lead. Our first goal deep into injury time was the game changer and that give us a lift going in at HT. You had been the better team up to that point and had we not scored, I honestly think a draw was the best result we could have hoped for and I would have gladly taken it, at that point. However, we did score and then I thought we came out in the second half and we looked the better team. The second goal was no great surprise when it came and I thought we were into our rhythm and I could see us getting another 1 or 2 goals. The sending off changed the game again and from that point we were holding on a bit and had our backs to the wall. I personally thought our goalkeeper was MOTM and that tells it's own story.

I think the red card looked a little harsh and hopefully we'll appeal it and it'll be overturned. It sounded like a good atmosphere on the TV today and I hope everybody on here who went along enjoyed the game, apart from the result obviously. If you can turn in performances like that more often than not, I don't see any reason why you won't climb the table a little and pull yourselves to around mid-table.

Enjoy your evening and good luck for the rest of the season.
