Fantastic win. I'm really pleased for Kedwell. He must have been a bit nervous stepping up to take the first penalty.
What a great game for us today, nice score, what do you think of it, Comment below with your thoughts below, i would also like to hear from people at the game what you thought about the game. I have updated the thread above with the table and my summary.
I have just added a poll, if you would kindly vote out of 10 what you think of the game and then If you could post below what number you voted and why?
I voted 9/10. I think I got a bit carried away last Saturday when I gave maximum marks! 3-0 is a convincing victory, and well done to Kedwell for scoring his first two goals.
Good performance by the lad's today. Have to worry for Argyle this year, think they will be in the conference next year. Need that new striker as we again lacked something up top. However a very good second half means we are now into double figures in points! Well done to danny kedwell today has deserved some goals and got them today! UTG
It would be sad to see them go into liquidation or out of the league as they are a big team. I picked 9 out of 10 aswell as we won 3-0, not conceded, but 10 out of 10 like I said last week would have to mean a 5-0 score line or something along them lines.
Looks like another long season for the Green Army. Which is unfortunate for them. Was expecting a bit more from Reid on the touchline but he seemed resigned from the start. First half was a bit of a nonevent but as for the second half, good show lads. I think Hess' subs were made at the right time and it was nice seeing attack minded changes. Although at the time I thought Spiller and Montrose had played well but both did look like their tanks were empty. So well done Hess on the changes. I was a bit confused at the time of the penalty. Think I heard the ref blow before we scored but it was loud in the Rainham end I thought he was going to play the advantage and let the player off, why such a long time making the decision? After the Red card Plymouth had no chance. They fought on well and considering the season so far I didn't think their heads dropped which is a credit, but they didn't seem to have a clue what to do after that. Rooney was obviously delighted at his goal after his Red Card and subsequent ban. Not sure if he knew how he got it in from that angle. Great 3 points, well done lads. UTG
Gemini- did you get a look at their number 5 (zubar) raising his hands to frampton in the first half? I didn't see what went on but people around me said he slapped Frampton?
Excellent day at the game and I agree with Gemini's comments. Just one thing before Rooney scored, I just kept willing him to get in the box, the one time he did, he scored, I want to see more of it, also good to see Lawrence pushing up for the corners, very unlucky not to score (hit the crossbar) - for me though Weston was MOM. Must mention Kedwell two goals from penalty's his confidence had a real boost today, payback for all his hard work over some very frustrating games for him. Well done to Hessy and ALL the team today ps. Gemini, I missed the first penalty incident but I was told Kedwell took a shove in the back? Also there was a handball of the line, although tbh I didn't get a clear view of it.
First penalty was for handball after Kedders knocked the ball into the box. Well that's what I thought. But thinking about it and the lino's position it could have been for a pull on Kedwell. But that would've been harsh IMHO. Handball was blatant. Shame Weston had the goal scrubbed off. Also Lee blasted one which hit the bloke on the line, that was unfortunate, and Spiller scored in the first half, looked to me like Larrieu only had the ball in one hand so it should have been given? I was up the other end of the pitch though. Good finish too.
Yes, Larrieu was about to bowl it out and Spill's nicked it out of his hand (singular) and chipped him. However by the letter of the law Larrieu had the ball under control and spiller kicked it out of his hands. Was a yellow card, but could of been given on another day!
I rated the game a 7 overall. Break it down it would be 5 for the first 45,Which was not the greatest but we were comfortable, then 6 for the first 15 minutes of the second half, thought we started to get on top, a 7 for the next 10 minutes, think the introduction of Rooney and Oli helped us push back Plymouth, and a 9.5 for the final 15 minutes (plus injury time), couldn't really ask for much more(took off .5 as it was against 10 men).
