Can we build on today's very good point up at Sunderland, by taking all 3 when we play Fleetwood Town next weekend?

Tough game coming up. Our last two matches have been odd, that I'd have expected to win against AFC and lose to Sunderland, so I'm not sure if it's one point gained or two lost!

It 'just' keeps us within an outside chance of play-off, so a valuable point yesterday, but Fleetwood are going to be tough opposition, they will be looking to take away at least a point from us, which technically could be enough to keep them in the play-offs, depending on the outcome of their midweek game.

That midweek game of Fleetwoods is to The Gills advantage, we can now rest and train for the week, whereas Fleetood will only have 3-4 days to recover after what will be an extremely tough game for them at Pompey.

Hopefully Gillingham can take hold of this advantage and the players have no excuse for not being up for it, if we lose this, then it's goodbye for another season...

    Gills 2-0 Fleetwood (Mandron, Akinde)

On a certain positive note, The Gills have now amassed 51 points, a total in other seasons we have been desperate to get to in avoiding relegation! So i'd say whatever happens now, this gives us a strong footing for next season, if we do happen to still be in League One, maybe one that could be potentially a bigger bonus, than getting relegated from the Championship...food for thought.

Game cancelled people along with the entire football fixtures, until the 3rd April at the earliest. But I suspect the football may not recommence even then.
