PYDOR, your prediction was correct ! 2 - 3 Did you stop off at the Bookies en route ? Loads of money????????? I am going to the market at Ayia Thekla tomorrow There is a geezer there who is a Grecians fan who has a Clothes stall. I will have to avoid him now !! Well done you guys ! Esp after your long trip to Bradford last Sat.
That was awful, we could not defend all night the weather was bad but that is no excuse, there was not many on the pitch who played well and that was including the Exeter team, Cueton was brilliant he ripped the defence apart, I hope we can recover as it has not been amazing lately and our form has dipped, I will write a review tomorrow afternoon.
Very disappointing result, basically Exeter handled the windy conditions far better than we did in the 2nd half. We just didn't start after the break and far too often resulted to the dreaded hoof ball. With lee and Montrose subbed for weston and vincelot we looked far too lightweight in midfield with Weston leaving jacko far to exposed down the left.a worry I have had for a while is the lack of mobility in our strikeforce. Cureton showed how useful a nippy clever striker is and before the game was hoping our equivalent burchill would get a game. Burton did well again but strevens and kedwell just don't seem too threatening at the moment. With a tough run of games approaching we need to up our game a notch or two, hope this is just a blip. UTG!!!!
Gills were beaten fair and square and Allen may have learnt a lesson about "freshening" without reason and also keeping his most effective players on the bench. Fortunately other results helped us but it is 5 points from the last 12 and Gills are struggling against anyone in the top half. You have to be able to play in all conditions and ability to play a physical game and route 1 football is just as vital as having a passing game. The trouble tonight was the huge advantage the gale gave to attacking the Brian Moore stand. It was the second half before the advantage was realised and then it was too late. Leave Kedwell out at your peril especially in these conditions. But a win or two in the next few games and this will be forgotten. Accrington will be a heavy mudheap and it will be a a physical battle. Attitude and selection needs to be geared accordingly and all will be fine.
Fair play to Exeter, they came and played and in the end for their 2nd half performance deserved to win. Too many of our players were not on their game last night and our movement was poor where Exeter had more pace and better movement and bringing Kedwell on and going long ball in those conditions was hardly like to change the course of the game, but we are still top, and hopefully learnt some lessons last night, we were never going to win every game and having got out of jail a couple of times recently we were bound to lose one at the death eventually. I must also take my share of the blame as I was their and have been at both home defeats (having only been to 4 home games) and the really bad news I have tickets for Fleetwood too!!
