Wow losing 2-0 at home luckily we managed to come back and win 3-2. Think overall we were the better team but great comedack
They came with a plan, in the first half we obligingly played to their plan. The second half was almost enjoyable.
He didn't sound happy, probably just disappointed they threw away a 0-2 lead. Not sure what to make of his comments to be honest, I felt his team done well against a team two tiers above them. I get his point about balls in the box, but maybe on this ocassion a pat on the back for his lads would have been nice. Although I did struggle to understand what he was saying at times. What I saw from us from our three goals is what I expect to see every game when you are losing, it took me back a few years where we would run ourselves into the ground in the final minutes. That's the sort of spirit I want to see at our club. I think three players do that week in, week out, they are Graham, Jackson and O'Gilvie. Medley does do it, when given the opportunity on the wing. One side note to all this, I'm slightly concerned about the number of times Tucker is seen pushing too far forward, he made a number of minor errors yesterday, and I hate to see a lad chasing his arse. Well done for doing so, but it's concerning for his development.
Again, I'll just say, Woking just met us on a day where we decided to get out backside into gear in the final third. Also I expect our players to perform for 90 minutes, it's always going to be a struggle for teams several leagues lower to maintain the same sort of momentum. I've kept an eye on Woking over the last couple of seasons, decent side, just not quite ready for the next tier, but getting there, which is maybe what their manager was alluding to earlier. Let's not forget, the National League is a very difficult league to get out of.
Going to be a bit contentious here, and I know with Graham there was no intent, it was more careless, but the Woking fans are right, some refs would have given a red for what happened. If I was a Woking supporter I would have called for it but @alwaysright thinks I'm blind the best of times. Btw I'm not suggesting Graham should have been sent off, I'm merely stating I understand their argument.
In the first half Woking formed a defensive wall in the last third, for our part we had plenty of possession but just couldn't get past them. I have always felt the best way to defeat that type of a solid defense is have a player running at them with the ball, ask any defender what they hate and it's the skillful player running at them. Graham is still our leading scorer and leading the assists table, even the Woking fans mentioned his class. Raynor was a lot happier than their manager.
Sorry, brb --I'm still trying to understand why Bamford was given offside..... The trouble with referees making a decision is that they are permitted to think...,.... Then don't bother!

The stupid twitch I got was when I pressed 'Pay Now' when I purchased my first two-year season ticket -- let alone my second.
