I've said this before - Charlie Wyke is not fast enough to have been within 50 yards of them when they got there. Surely everyone knows that. What's the point in him busting a gut to get to the half way line when Gooch slots the ball in? Makes no sense.

I agree Wyke should be making better runs when crosses come in but I have no gripe with him not making a run. For all we know, he may have been busting a gut to get there but realised he was nowhere near catching up

 

Not saying it’s wrong, just we never seem to sign any. Been like that for many years with us. Think we went through a spell in the prem when we had a few multi cultural players, but can’t recall too many times since then. Strange tbh when you look at other teams around us.

 

Maguire isn’t the fastest player either, but it was his own clearance that started that break. Wyke should have been already looking to push forward anticipating what was about to happen. Says it all imo.

 

Just my opinion mate. It says nothing to me. Hume is probably our fastest player and he wasn’t there either. Literally only 2 players made it. If it says it about Wyke, surely it says the same about every other player except maybe the central defence

 

Absolutely right mind. Although I don’t read anything into it like some do (not you but others)
