@officialpompey Gills sub Bingham gets plenty of sympathy after taking a shot from Green in a very delicate area (71 mins)
Nathan Thompson appears to have pulled his hamstring .....and he is going off. Down to ten men in the 76th minute.
Nathan Thompson going off with hamstring problem, Wheeler helping him off and we've used all the subs up
Attempt saved. Billy Bingham (Gillingham) left footed shot from the centre of the box is saved in the centre of the goal by Craig MacGillivray. 77th minute.
Final whistle. 2-0 to Gillingham. The gits, sorry I mean the Gills, have achieved the double over us We created so many chances, which we should have taken
Match stats:- Home Team: Gillingham....... Away Team: Portsmouth Possession: Home 45% Away 55% Shots: Home 6 Away 20 Shots on Target: Home 3 Away 5 Corners: Home 2 Away 10 Fouls: Home 12 Away 6
This happens to many a team at the top. Now that the monkey of preserving an unbeaten away record if off the back, perhaps PFC can calm themselves and hopefully battle to a win on Saturday. Fingers crossed!!
Personally I blame anti for this defeat. If we'd had a Boxing day prediction round I would of course have put us down to lose, which would have guaranteed us at least a point. Our only other league defeats were against Charlton (mid-week) and at home to Gillingham - the only time I predicted a Pompey win! So Anti - let's have some mid week predictions when Pompey are in action please - I can't do it all myself!
