He's young, prone to errors. Even Gazzaniga made mistakes! I agree, we need to get behind him and give the lad a chance. It was appalling to hear people jeering him last season and getting on his back when he made mistakes, our youngsters are going to play a pivotal role this season and I hope Evans can improve from the promising start to first team football he made last year. With regard to Fuller not being offered a deal, I fully understand Allen's decision and despite people reiterating his work rate and passion, if Martin Allen doesn't see him in his selection plans then that's life. He's the manager, the buck stops with him and we can only speculate as to what direction he has with regard to tactics. Fuller served the club well but was limited going forward in particular, he was a decent player but in my opinion not irreplaceable as this season will prove.

thought on the fuller situation. allen seems to like his son in terms of a central midfield role (cant comment as havent seen the kid play) however would this not leave one of payne or lee free to maybe fill in the right back role as they have both done before with success?

we need a specialist for these said positions, we've been there and done that with putting makeshift players into cover short term...now is the time to play players in there positions that will move us forward !

utility players are only for injury...even they like to play one said position !
