I'm pretty sure he had a goal and three assists in the close of the great escape season. Not to mention to's very common for new managers and fresh eyes to get more out of players. His injuries would be my only concern but he's only missed 6 game this season through injury. It's funny people would rather be a man down than have the option of a very good Italian international. Baffling. I'd try and buy his loan deal out myself. We're short on numbers and going down isn't an option. He'd be a very good option in our survival bid imo as he's proved in the past
Connor got 5 in the great escape. I doubt we'd find too many wanting him back. I just think Giacc's a little too delicate for the PL Bri. There's no doubting the lad's quality. I just don't think he's suited to the PL. Besides, it looks like Sam's brought in a few quality players in the last month. Khazri in particular took some heavy knocks on Saturday, brushed them off and got on with the game.
Don't get it mate. We're short, he's way better than nowt, if we could get him back I'd have him in a heartbeat.
I get what you're saying about us being short in the squad. Just had a look at his profile. For some reason I thought he was very similar in style to Borini although from a more central position. With Borini available to cover that position if necessary, behind Defoe and Khazri. I'll backtrack on what I said about not needing him, especially with some of the injuries we have at the minute However I do still think he's too delicate for the PL. The league now is the fastest its ever been. The games at the weekend were non-stop fast and exhilarating to the very last minute! Giacc's last 3 injuries were all ankle injuries which kept him out for most of his last season. I just don't think he can cut it long term. But yes, I'll concede your point about having him back for the last 12 games or so. You have to wonder though, if Sam had the option of bringing him back during the window, why he chose not to.
I tend to agree and if we had to rely on him starting every game it would be a worry. And it's probably too expensive to recall him, so it's all just fat chewin anyway.
