I see Vergini more of a CB then a Wing back. Don't think we have enough defenders to play 3 at the back yet, but Gus say's the 342 is his favoured formation and you can see the squad growing in that direction. Could be next season or after Jan until we see that set up. But I think we'll be playing it eventually.
Bri have you just picked a Sunderland team without Cattermole?! I don't think Gus is interested on change of system mate so Ricky will play wide left or as one of 3cms. My money is on wide left, Fletcher out, Connor up top.
That was an alternative fella, one I wouldn't play in a million years, Who do you accommodate, AJ or Catts? It's Catts all day long for me. Even with Catts on his own in midfield we'd be murdered, that Midfield is just too light. I agree they'll be no change in system, not until we have some more defenders so certainly not this side of January, probably not at all this season. I can see Alvarez in CM in place of Larsson myself. Gus has made no secret of needing creativity down the middle. I'd go with this for Spurs personally. Mate that looks class! Very attacking though so think Gus will play Seb instead of Giacch or Ricky. Is Ricky match fit? Rodwell is certainly short so we can't carry two. Hope he goes with Wickham OR Fletch, not both
