I was tempted to turn this around & call you a Bates lover, but no-one deserves that!

Chippie, the positive thing is we get Bates out, and we were all willing to take pain to see the crook go. GFH will sell Leeds, its just a matter of when. Once that is done we can move on. It was clear from the start that GFH were a short term thing, looking to make a quick buck. They don't have the funds to run Leeds properly, never intended to do so anyway. Let's hope they sell quickly now (and balance sheet pressure will drive this) and then we can say bye to Colin, bye to Brown and the rest of the donkeys, and hopefully finally put the nightmare Ridsdale forced on us to bed!

Seems a little disrespectful by GFH tbh from what ive seen of things, its as if they are pimping you out with no interest in investing anything into the club, at least Bates is with you for the long-haul.

We don't want bates for the long haul. No point having someone for the long haul if their strategies are horrendously short sighted. I'd rather have someone make a quick buck and sell us to someone with real ambition, doing the work of prising the club from bates cold dead hands so the real money men don't have to, than be stuck with that old sack of **** forever.

    You are assuming that

    a) Gfh is not a front for Bates and his cronies
    b) That GFH are running out of cash and uncle Fester is going to buy us back.
    c) Whoever owns us has pockets deep enough to attract a new manager and 8 or 9 decent players who can do more than play hoo ball.

At the minute I think there is huge potential for further asset stripping. If Byram and Lees are sold we are at least 3 years from promotion. How would that be better than under Bates?

Bring back the days when your average football fan only worried about the players on the pitch, the price of a pint and getting back safely from away games..:D

Unfortunately, shakes, those days are well gone. The digital age has brought all this into our living rooms, 24/7, so instead of just blagging about what's happenign down the pub with your mates, on the basis of just considering the players' technique and skills, we have an overload of info and an overload of opportunity to waffle on forever.

Jonny - just busy at work. Your homeland coming up next.

Yeah, its a shame that those who used to congregate in person to discuss and banter now do it in front of their computers, but great for those who could not participate before.

Cool! What are you doing in all these places? Been to my homeland before? Where specifically will you be and for how long?
