There are some things I'd question from episode 1 but guess now isn't the time. I wonder if any attempt was made to speak to MS.
Had a listen, my gut reaction is "whats new?". Jimmy Stone has sat down with Chris Powell. Jimmy Stone now has a couple of e mails from an unknown source, which added to Powell's thoughts give the impression that manager's at Charlton do indeed suffer from direct interference from the lunatic owner. Who would have thought it?
I thought episode 2 was great. Plenty of things we "didn't know". We'd heard of some of the things but the only previous correspondence that got anywhere near the level of Jimmys research was Yann and the SLP.
I found it all extremely interesting, especially the contributions from the players. I even feel sorry for Peter Parsley.
Perhaps Meire will be grilled on these latest allegations of sophistry at her next meeting with the Target 20k Group. Steve Clarke must be chomping at the bit?
Maybe if I have time to go down emails and PM's from 2013. It's nothing groundbreaking, but think the picture painted from MS era is one sided. No mention that they reached out to him either. It shouldn't detract from the good work done though, Im just being pinickity. Journalistic curiosity.
Agree about PP. players were thrown under the bus. I thought Leon Cort was the most articulate in the small amount of time he had. Would love to hear the unedited version of that conversation.
Wish we had him earlier, he was a man mountain in that league one season. Always thought Morrison was nowhere near as good without him too. Talking of Morrison, will be interesting to see if they talk to him in this series. Jimmy and Matt wright had a good relationship with the players so here's hoping.
I was more impressed with him the year after. He played quite a few more games that season too, if I remember rightly.
Cort was nowhere near as good as the Standard Liege reserve players Wasn't Cort replaced by a 90 year old Israeli?
Whose claim to fame was that he forced Portsmouth to sack ordinary low paid staff so he could keep his £50k per week?
Whereas the Bike was just a beast... once people stopped being scared of him he was far less effective.
