I just read the BBC story as he'd pretty much been made redundant. Others feel they can do what he does for the time being without needing to pay his wages. I would expect a replacement to be lined up or already in place if it was a long term disagreement over policy/direction. The linked article talks about the proffesionalism and dignity Jenkins brought to the club, the statment describing his exit displays both those attributes so maybe the Malaysians should take more of the credit for the work that has been done rather than just Jenkins. I run a business and you don't sack people who do a great job and earn you more than they cost! Surely the Malaysians taking a more hands on role can only be a good sign with regards to on going commitment to the club.
The fact that he doesn't leave until 22nd suggests an amicable split. He'd have been out the door before the announcement if there was an issue. Pleased with his input and good luck with whatever comes next. The directors becomeing more hands on is a good thing. We've not lost any 'footballing knowledge' with his departure with MMs backroom staff haivng been strengthened in this regard. Still not sure who does all the contract negotiations.
