Won the Play Football Monday 5-a-side Premiership once, then we moved onto the Thursday 7-a-side Premiership and we've won that league 4 times now, winning the last 3 seasons consecutively. Don't think we're going to win this season, but that obviously coincides with the fact that I've been out injured for the past 4 weeks with a couple more weeks to go until my much anticipated return. I'm having a bit of a Michu season.
Okay, won the welsh shield for Swansea schoolboys under 15's a long time ago. I am the proud holder of one Welsh cap for the under 18's schoolboys back in the day. Played against Scotland and drew 2=2, I got the equaliser. remember it like it was yesterday.
Come 3rd in a go kart race, and was a ball boy at a ****ty football match at the old Wembley stadium. So nothing special
Ah well, time to 'fess up I suppose. Jack of all sports, master of bugger all sums me up. I was competitive at a number of sports without threatening the top. As a young athlete I ran a 10. something in the 100 yards (not metres) but also clocked respectable times at all distances up to 5,000 metres. Should have concentrated on one distance. I made the final trial for Swansea schoolboys at cricket as an all-rounder but got no further. I boxed successfully as an amateur welterweight and was offered the chance to turn pro. Turned it down because I doubted my ability at that level. Also played a lot of squash and tennis but never got better than being a decent "club" player. Played LOW football and an equivalent/better standard in different Home Counties leagues when I lived in London. Took the FAW coaching course at Stebonheath at the same time as Lenny Allchurch who had retired and was doing it for fun, as he told me. Getting the badge then involved taking the referee's exam, which I passed although I never reffed an official game. I'm good at quizzes though. Got a shelf-full of trophies, cups, shields and medals won over many years. Seems I'm a lot better at talking and writing about sport than I was playing it.

I won the Llanstadwell regatta swimming race for under 16 s. Gave up an afternoons work for my Dad as the prize was supposedly a fiver and I was only getting £2 for the afternoon. Was really pissed off to find it was only £1 prize.
