I can see your point MCB but imo today was the time to get some players like Wickham 90 mins game time. Not too concerned if we lost but MON should have tried fringe players or different tactics. I would like to go thru but agree 100% that premiership footy, from a financial point, is much more important.
PL is the be all and end all lads, unfortunately I can see the FA Cup going the way of the League Cup where teams will duff it for the sake of the league and ultimately the money.
I sadly agree but hope to be proved wrong. The FA Cup was the glamour trophy of sport when I was a lad and final day was one of the highlights of the sporting calendar. I would love to win a cup final and this is the most important competition for me but for the Utd, Chelsea and such like its the 3rd target. Of course the EPL is vital for financial stability but I can't see how an extra 7 or 8 games a year effects that. The injuries to Rose and Cuellar could just as easily happen in the league games too. It's so refreshing to have a manager that also takes the Cup seriously and if he is going for it, then I'm excited about the competition.
