Ferrie Bodde: Former Swansea City midfielder in coma.

Former Wales, Burnley and Swansea winger Leighton James has suffered a suspected mild stroke.

My thought are with both and their families, hope the get well soon.

bit of shock with ferrie being young and fit hope he pulls through for his nearest and dearest <ok>

Thanks for the kind sentiments my Cardiff mates; football is just a game and things like this transcend it, petty club rivalries are just that - petty. My prayers tonight go out to Ferrie and Leighton - the good news is that Leight's stroke was mild, and Ferrie, although in intensive care is expected to make a full recovery.

Again, thanks for your kind messages of support - have posted a similar reply on the CCFC Facebook page to the messages that were all 100% supportive.

Banter aside, have always known that you Bluebirds are a classy bunch!

Here's hoping that you can pull of a great escape - starting with beating Sunderland on Sunday.

Good luck and nos da! <cheers>

Not easy for the family, Ferrie Bodde coma was induced to help him to fight against pneumonia, a massive hope that he pulls through.

Leighton's stroke was mild but having survived 2 more serious strokes myself I can only hope that his recovery is speedy and full.

As you say banter aside there are things more serious than football. <ok>

A stroke is an awful thing to go through, my father has had 3, and I sincerely hope LJ recovers from his.
Ferre is in the best hands available to him and I hope he has a quick and full recovery.
My thoughts are with them both and their families. Get well soon guys.
