Mr Rees is a Lord not an MP. Mr Rees was electorally unsuccessful, the role of Mayor of Bristol was abolished by a democratic vote because people were so dissatisfied with Mr Rees, and for failure Labour have rewarded Mr Rees with a financially lucrative role in the House of Lords.

    Kerching again Mr Rees.

    whose there?

anyway Reform are 4/11 on to win Runcorn by election. Labour continue to do such great things offer so much change that people it appears are going to turn their backs on the bestest leader ever Prime Minister Keir Starmer, top top top David Lammy, Raynor errr ummm Chancellor Rachel Reeves and saving the planet Ed Miliband. Its a mystery why Labour are not 4/11 on!! This lot should be the envy of the world.

Whether you like Trump or not, he and his team solved illegal immigration overnight by securing the southern border close to El Paso, in addition he’s still in the process of deporting tens of thousands out of the USA who have no right to be in the country. No human rights lawyers or ECHR getting in the way or throwing a spanner in the works
Shame that none of our elected politicians share the will to do the same
Deport a few planes full of economic migrants and you’d soon stop more lives being needlessly lost in the channel and it would stop a lot more people coming to put an even greater burden on us ths taxpayer, local councils and the NHS
We have the power to do it and be strong but nobody has the guts to
    Shameful

    I very much doubt it.
The left in Bristol were daft enough to elect the idiot Dan Norris so pretty sure Ashton and co will get their way.

The government has defended its net-zero policies after Sir Tony Blair said limiting fossil fuels was "doomed to fail" and a new approach was needed.

The former Labour prime minister argued the debate on climate change had become "irrational" and people in rich countries no longer wanted to make financial sacrifices "when they know that their impact on global emissions is minimal".

His comments have been seized on by opposition parties as an attack on Sir Keir Starmer's plan to achieve net zero carbon emissions in the UK by 2050.

But Labour ministers insist the drive to net zero will not involve any financial sacrifices

Well done Sarah Pochin who has won the Runcorn & Helsby by-election for the Reform party
Outstandingly result and it probably shows the mood of the country
Hopefully change for better is coming for us all
A clear indication that Labour don’t have a clue what they’re doing, people have no faith in them, and in under a year their time is already up and Nigel Farage will be the next PM
    Hooray !

labour have done badly tories are going down the soil pipe and reform did very very well. the aftermath and handwringing its the over sixties vote ageism?? its its brexit again. its not being intelligent, its the far right??? reform are spivs and chancers. its a protest. its only a bye elcetion and council elections and turn outs are always low!! its apathy towards labour and the tories which has opened the door for reform. its the fault of those not voting opening the door for reform!! its the tories fault for leaving the economy in amess for labour. its anti immigration voting! its this. millions of people are voting reform because of you the labour party and tories being the spivs chancers and shysters.
