This Government don’t want the public to travel by air, drive, especially if you’ve got a petrol car, or basically do anything that will boost parts of the economy or the travel industry It’s an outrageous fee, but cheaper than other airports I believe ? It’s now firmly built into all Taxi fares to Lulsgate. We’re not too far away from airport (7 miles or so) but when we went to Cyprus last September the return taxi fare was over £80 for a 10 minute journey each way! It’ll be nearer £90 this September
I usually get a family member to drop me off and collect me on my return, obviously I pay the drop off fee, well that’s if they’ll let me. If not I’ll buy them a meal or something in return, but £7 is ridiculous
We would have done that but a 03.30 start for family is too much to ask on a working day for them It was bad enough for us getting up at that time
???? Increasing NICs for employers does increase costs for for the general public. Bristol Airport have just proved it.
a NI increase would be a lot worse than having to pay a bit more as a one off for airport parking, bearing in mind the less well off wouldn’t use the airport anyhow
Ashton, airport charges are the tip of the iceberg. The British Chamber of Commerce report 81% of businesses will be affected leading to higher charges for us all eg Sainsbury's costs will go up by £145million each year. Asda's by £100 million. M&S by £60 million. All have said it will have a big impact on taking on employees. Ridiculous beyond words
Recently changed from Sainsbury’s to Aldi due to their high prices, that’ll have much more of an impact on them if more change than NI increases will, it’s called competition. These large organisations make £m’s and can absorb much of these extra costs.or if they don’t they’ll lose out to others that do. It’s the smaller companies and charities etc that should have been excluded imo,
Nothing to do, with the spanking new car park they just built then? With another looking to be done in 2026.
Heard it on the radio, and it’s on the news. Plus it’s on BBC News on the web. So not correct saying you won’t hear about it on mainstream. Your Twitter x mates are feeding you **** mate
My wife works for a large company who are just about to enter a consultation period with over 100 local people and the outcome is likely to be 60 people or more losing their jobs The company I work for is no longer taking on apprenticeships and is laying people off too Both are as a direct result of this Government’s policies and it will be the same in thousands of other businesses
Lots of business are using it as an excuse to get rid of people, obviously I don’t know the details and not suggesting this is the case in your wife’s or your company, but don’t take it all at face value.
and you have to pay by card .. so dont take a card then the attendant has to let you out as a big que starts to form .. I did it twice
