Ashton, if only this were possible.
Leftie lawyers and spurious human rights ensure this never will happen.

As you rightly said most immigrants are legal, the number that arrive on boats is minute, but they are the ones most people blame for the immigrant problem, which just simply isn’t true.

I’ve no idea what number is needed, but to just say there’s too many, that are services are over run and unable to cope etc doesn’t add up either.

Have you been in hospital recently?, without immigrant workers the NHS would be in even more trouble than it is, so rather than making waiting lists longer, maybe they’re actually keeping them shorter than they would otherwise be.

We no longer have open boarders as we did as part of the EU, so the figures we have are what we’ve b chosen to have. As i said in another post we still don’t have enough working age people to pay for our aged population either.

We have problems with all of our services, but not because of immigrants but because we have failed to invest in them properly over the years, no one wants to admit that and immigrants are just an easy target.

Do you seriously think the illegals coming in on dinghy’s are skilled people-if they were they could come in through the correct process.
These are takers and scammers. We don’t have a clue what their history is.

People blame those arriving on small boats because it makes a total mockery of our national security and our wide open borders
Who knows how many terrorists or murderers we’ve just waived through over the last 20 or more years without proper checks being carried out because these people have destroyed their ID

I have extensive experience of our hospitals over the last year and have undergone a lot of treatment in Oncology. There were a few foreign nurses but the vast majority were British

When we had open borders those coming into the UK were predominantly from eastern Europe and of similar cultural backgrounds to us. They also had key skills to help the rest of us like being plumbers, builders, roofers etc. They came with those skills already on board, and hit the ground running.

difficulty here is if you take the figures published at the 900,000 a great deal of these probably +60% is a feature in every years figure add on the residue of those from the past 5 years [ includes 33,000 for this year ] so that leaves around 210, 000.IF YOU take the 33,000 boat people [ not the true figure as those getting in by other means lorries other craft etc ] 33, 000 illegal is NOT minute! it represents around 16% as an annual 2024 figure so far this year

you probably havent been in a hospital recently and looked at the patient %'s i used to go GOSH every week sometimes twice on a night time from BCH in Bristol although only went to wards maybe 3 times at BCH didnt actually see any children just the nurses area of the wards. In GOSH I WAS AT THE WARDS EVERYTIME.... and whilst patients were enshrouded with curtains or in rooms the rush to leave at end of visiting was as if I was in a foreign country, east Africa or Asia, I felt well out of place descending 3 floors as only white British of the 30 or so in the lift!
there is 2 areas apparently of concern prison populations and Hospitals ................ ! It is fantastic having the legal migrant workers in our hospitals, i have no problem with them at all in fact my op was done by a foreign person and the nursing/ care staff were were well mixed and would praise them whole heartedly
we are becoming unbalanced with migrants to many and that is because some really are trying it on ... a cushy life with freebies the reward, at the expense of our own population.

"scientists" about 30 /40 years ago stated our island .. the uk ... should control population to be a max of 50- 52,000,000 , AS THAT IS WHAT IT COULD SUPPORT .. IT IS now unofficially over 70,000,000

I think it depends on the wards, I have visited probably 20 or more different ones more than 2 or 3 times and staff has nearly always been about 60/40 ish maybe 70/30!

"We only have one more chance left to save the West and we can do great things together.

What is Donald Trump going to do to restart the US economy when he takes office ?
    Cut taxes
Ditch the green and net zero nonsense
Drill new oil wells and frack for Gas

His actions will undoubtedly work because he and Musk have good business brains and the American economy will soon be booming

Remind me what we’re doing again ?
Oh yes, that’s right, the exact opposite!!

And a total about turn on the WASPI ladies.
A few decent Labour MPs are calling him out over this, as some who criticised the Winter fuel payment cut to pensioners.
Starmer reminds of the Spitting Image portrayal of John Major.

Thank you to everyone in Brockmoor and Pensnett who held their nose and voted Labour yesterday in the by election. Unfortunately we came 3rd.

The over overriding message on the door step was anti Starmer and rightly so. Keir Starmer's attack on the working class, our children and parents/grandparents is unjustifiable.

He lied to us all to get elected and does not deserve to be the leader of the Labour party. Good honest councillors will lose their seats because of Kier Starmer's actions and his attack on working class people.

I hope that election results like this, Labour Coming 3rd in a seat that only 6 months ago became one of our safest seats, will be the kick up the arse the National Labour Party needs but the truth is I don't think Starmer gives a damn.

I stay in the party hoping he is booted out and a proper working class person, not a establishment stooge gets to lead the party again.

Your local councillors will continue to work hard and follow the traditional Labour values in spite of Starmer's actions & reckless attack on the working class.
Well done to Alex who is the new councillor 4 Brockmoor and Pensnett, we had a good chat last night and hopefully he, Karen and I will work together to make Brockma and Pensnett a better place.

Keir Starmer is not your friend but we are.

    Have a great Christmas folks

    Councillor Steve Edwards Labour

As I’ve said before, the Labour Party are no longer a party for the working class people that they were originally set up to represent
    Elitist, uncaring and robotic
    And that’s their good points

The thing that pisses me off is as has already been stated I am quite openly a centre ground Conservative, I hate the EU with a venom, one of the minority that voted Tory at the election and I knew that Starver, thief and the freeloader glamour puss were all liars but with all those issues on my CV I accepted my views were a minority, that Labour had won and democracy demands the right to rule, I genuinely was prepared to give the new crowd a chance but the greed, selfishness, slimeball attitudes and actions being applied has stirred in me feelings of hatred and a sense of revenge that I have never felt in my life before.

I hope they wither on the vine or worse to put it politely but I won't let the bastards get inside my skin, I'm going to bang on with life and keep smiling, I've got a lot to smile about, I'm a Bristol City FC fan..<laugh>

That’s a matter of opinion. Although that wasn’t my point. I felt how Wiz is feeling now after Boris won. I thought he was a lying chancer. History has actually proven I was right in my assessment
