Actually spotted this series kicking off a few weeks back but decided to ignore it. Just another rip off TV show based on a classic film i thought.
Today having an hour to kill i decided to give it a go. Glad i did tbh. It's excellent. Well the first episode was.
Big Chris O'Dowd seems to be doing well across the pond and he takes the lead role. His character is no Chilli Palmer though. Nothing Travoltaesque about big Chrissy. He is very funny though. The whole show is very funny in a dark, bloody, chopping off of tongues sort of way.
Ray Romano also appears as low budget film maker and is great. In fact the whole cast is excellent as is the dialogue.
Another one i will be sticking with.
