Garde wasn't the right choice for them. Doesn't seem to have any fire whatsoever, if I was a Villa player and I looked over to the manager for inspiration at 4-0 down and saw a blank expression with arms folded, what are you supposed to do with that. They should have got someone with guts who would have on the touch line shouting blue murder, boggling eyes and spit flying. At least then you can see that they give a crap.
It could end up a straight shoot out between them and Arsenal. The champions this season could end up on the lowest total ever for finishing first, if they carry on as they are.
I won't be discounting Leicester either. Looking at their fixtures I fancy them to win another 9. Welbeck being back for Arsenal could be huge as well.
I'm assuming we weren't 1 of those 9 I still think Leicester will just drop a few to many points as it gets nearer to the end and somebody else (or a couple of teams) will overtake them.
I certainly hope so...especially when we play them..It is written in the stars that defeat against Sunderland will see them lose out..
They're capable of winning them all comfortably. Losing at the Emirates in the last second of the game with 10 men won't change my mind on that. I reckon they'll drop points for sure but I wouldn't pin-point which teams I fancy that to be against. Arsenal are England's biggest bottlers, anything could happen.
I don't think City will win anything this season but under Guardiola could be very different. He won't accept any players who don't put in the effort, Toure might be on his way.
Although Guardiola once admitted his biggest mistake was selling Toure to City. I think they'll win the League Cup.
Leicester put in a fair old shift and losing in the very last minute with ten men is a testament to their guts and team spirit. That young lad Kone is also an outstanding prospect. Whoever is on their scouting staff deserves a medal.
