Is anyone even slightly sad that Darren Bent has gone to one of our relegation rivals? Are there still goals in him at this level?

What a fall from grace in the last few years.

I know our future is in youth but could he have done a job for us?

It doesn't seem that long ago that Bent, Gyan, Welbeck and Campbell were leading the line.

I know opinions may be divided but i'm a whore for a great frontline.

I couldnt give a feck if he was still as good as he was 6 years ago, id never have that low life scumbag back ever again.

He would have made himself a hero here, potentially on the same level as SKP, instead he ****ed off and it back fired massively.

Yes despite his big fat heed and round peg in square hole tactics we had some decent times under Bruce. Signing players like Gyan seems like a distant memory now.

We pulled Bent from the scrap heap at Spurs when he was a forgotten man and enabled him to get back into the England squad. How did he repay us? By putting a transfer request in one week before the Jan window shut cause he heard how much Villa were gona pay him instead of having the decancy to wait till May so we could have time to replace him. He single handidly nearly got us relegated so why the feck should we pull him off the scrap heap yet again to revive his career for a second time with us??
