By the looks of this he's going

I would rule liverpool out now as they have henderson so probs Arsenal, but all the deluded people up the road seem to think he's theirs which may be true due to cabaye joining them

However liverpool and newcastle have also been linked with the swiss winger Tranquilo Barnetta from various sources but I believe these are rumours atm

Now Sunderland have made decent signings and by the looks we have players coming in:

ngog - no judgement until seen play
gibson - good player who isnt scared to have a shot
wes brown - good player but a bit past it now
john o'shea - good player who is also getting a bit past it

where as gervinho and barnetta are of some quality

Question is, why are we not going for a couple of players like this :/

Who said we aint or who said we aint going for better?

People need to trust Quinny and Brucie they will come up with the good they know better than us

last summer everyone was going mad with the signings of Welbeck and Bramble and they were class for us

KTF

oh dont get me wrong we might well be, id rather sign a quality player than just be linked with one, but if your linked with quality players it gets people talking
I trust in quinny and brucie as I know they can do a job
welbeck I wasnt sure about and bramble im glad to say changed my mind rather rapidly

damn right KTF !

Sky sports say's he going, this say's he isn't.

Funny though no mention of a club from NE1. definetly a case of wait and see, good player mind...

Arsenal target Gervinho could decide against a move to the Premier League after huge success at Lille.
The Ivory Coast striker has just won the double with the Ligue 1 club and has admitted that the success has forced him to question his future.
"It is possible that I will renew my contract with Lille," he said.
"One of my dreams as a professional footballer is to play in the Premier League but this summer is not like any other. We have won the French league and cup and are now in the Champions League. Lille is a great team and I am having doubts about leaving.
"Right now I just want to go on vacation with my family, relax and think about my future."
Liverpool and Everton have also been linked with the holiday-bound 24-year-old.
