I don't know if he'd be good in this league to be honest, i'd personally rather sign Sturridge. We might have to stump up 12-15 million, but he's a deadly finisher, good ball control, good skill and he's young. He'd get better service from us aswell, and he's got 4 goals in 4 games for Bolton.

I'm anxious about big spending on foriegn players, i'd rather sign Sturridge. In my opinion, Gervihno just looks like another Martins, but with better skill. All those highlights looks convincing, but they're just his finest moments, and even then, i think he'd get swamped in this league. He's not worth 10 million from what i've seen.

But you're convinced by Sturridge over 4 games? You cant buy someone on that basis, you need proper scouting and see what he's like over several months.

He's on form that's for sure and seems to be POTENTIALLY very exciting for the future(England & Chelsea) but as Smudger said let's wait until the end of the season to see if he continues this hot streak.. personally I'll have BOTH of them on perm deals.

Although that'll mean selling Ameobi, Kuqi(expired contract) and Lover.

Both would be excellent.
I'd sell Lover, Kuqi's contract would have expired, and loan out Ranger. Would love to play Ranger more but until his goalscoring improves he won't get starts. Little loan spell would warm him up nicely for us!
Like to keep Shola if I'm honest.

Can't let king strolla go to another club that's for sure. I'd ditch Loven.
I'm hoping Ranger gets a nice run of games a la Carroll last season, and starts hammering in the goals.

I dreamt last night that I'd read somewhere that Lover died after choking on a curtain fastener. It was a shocking one to say the least. I'd be gutted. I like Lover, even if he isn't the best.

But yeah, I'd keep Shola over Lover definitely.

You lot need to stop your emotional attachment with Shola and see real life.

The guy has never really been on a consistent run(last one he had was back in 05-06 if I remember and when he was on fire in the Championship). Have you lot seen when Shola was ACTUALLY good? he had pace, power(still does), directness and even a bit of skill but now he's wasted. No technique, no pace and just encourages us to play ''hoofball''.

2001-2004 Shola>>>>>Current Shola. It's time he moved on unfortunately. I'll keep the young ones : Best, Ranger, Airey and get 1 or 2 quality strikers(Gervinho, Stud-man, Pav, Wolfswinkel, etc..).

Yes, I remember when Shola was consistently good, and I remember his loyalty and dedication to the club. He also offers experience to the younger ones. I'm just saying if push came to shove and we had to decide between shifting Lover or Shola, I'd go for keeping Shola.
Ranger needs a loan. He's not going to get as many league games next season if we buy in the summer, he just needs a push in the right direction. That direction being a goal scoring one.

ON his day he's a handful but these days we don't see them as much(apart from when we play you know who)...

Shola over Lover? just for the age because Lover is better on the deck but lacks strength and can go missing through long periods(see yesterday when he was on the left wing).

Shola will always be a legend for his goals against the mackems and his loyalty but I think it's better we sold him now then when he's 33 and won't cost much. He's a brilliant lad aswell and gives his all but his time is surely up.. maybe he'll prove me wrong but I think if a good offer came in then we should consider it.
