Possibly, I guess I'm just jaded because it's usually at this stage when we start him and he has a poor game and the fans are on his back again. His contribution recently has been impressive, I just hope it's not another false dawn.
Problem with starting Theo is that we end up starting 3 strikers up front.....not a good look. Whereas with Gervinho on the wing, he does do wingery things, plus I think that podolski and walcott are too similar to both start, albeit Podolski is better in every aspect apart from pace (and he's fairly quick himself) I think the Podolski-Giroud-Gervinho front line is much more balanced, plus it gives us the option of walcott as a supersub.
Just wondering if some people on here would compare him to henry when he first arrived at arsenal, i know that henry took some time to settle in. But ultimately it's difficult to assess whether gervinho will play in the wings or up front for the majority of his arsenal career, he is our top goal scorer and i think something should be said for that but if he can just stay in games and keep his composure in front of goal then the pressure will be off and people will actually start to realise how good he is when he dribbles at defenders.
