    My sentiments exactly.
He performed for the majority of the time he played in the 2008/2009 season. But he's not reached that level since.I hope he gets up to at least that level, and possibly beyond, because he will be awesome.

I'm a fan of Gerrard, but I can also see his arrogance. We need a good team around him so he doesnt feel he is the only player at the club, and has to instigate everthing. It's the same for the other players. He's such a hero they feel obliged to pass to him instead of playing as a team.

Strong characters around him are essential

I have a feeling Gerrard may be firing on all cylinders next season - may be worth putting a bet on him scoring 15 goals next season.

I don't think we will see the dynamic Gerrard of seasons gone by ever again. He's been our rock for so long and we all want to see those unique Gerrard moments continue but may have to accept that the 100mph total dominance of a football field games have gone and I think Gerrard needs accept this for the good of the club.

Gerrard still has an important part to play for Liverpool FC he needs to use his exceptional passing, shooting and reading of the game to our advantage and needs to leave the work rate to others. Gerrard needs to accepts that age is catching up with him and adjusts his game accordingly, he could be an important player for us for years to come.

This is in no way a negative post on Stevie he has been such a hero for so long and has almost single handedly won us trophies. I just want that to continue but feel he needs to adjust his game to continue playing for us relatively injury free.

I've been thinking for a while now that because the team's been playing so well without him that when Stevie does come back we'll need him to be content with being more a part of a team as opposed to the one man band he's had to be in the past. However, the poor performances against Spurs and Villa made me realise we still need someone like the old Stevie. We missed someone who can get a grip on a game that's slipping away from us and turn it round. There are very few players who can do that and we'll be hard pushed to replace him once he is past it.
