I only post on our board, trolls are not as habitual and usually like you gatecrash threads on other boards than the club you support own board.

<laugh> you're not seriously taking that as him regretting not joining utd or Chelsea <laugh> He's said numerous times he has no regrets about joining either.

He wanted Jose as manager of Liverpool. He was also approached by him to join Real <doh> Remember when Jose was Real - he didn't regret joining them either <ok>

I sat in the back of the car and felt the tears rolling down my face. I hadn't cried for years but, on the way home, I couldn't stop. The tears kept coming. I can't even tell you if the streets were thick with traffic or as empty as I was on the inside. It was killing me.

I felt numb, like I had lost someone in my family. It was as if my whole quarter of a century at this football club poured out of me. I did not even try to stem the silent tears as the events of the afternoon played over and over again in my head.

April 27 2014: one more victory and we would be almost certain to win the league for the first time since May 1990.

But in the last minute of the first half against a cagey Chelsea, set up to stop our rush to glory by Jose Mourinho, it happened.

A simple pass rolled towards me near the halfway line. It was a nothing moment, a lull in our surge to the title. I moved to meet the ball. It slid under my foot. The twist came then. I slipped. I fell to the ground.

The ball was swept away and the devastating Chelsea attack began. I clambered to my feet and ran with all my heart. I chased Demba Ba as though my life depended on it. I knew the outcome if I couldn't catch him. But it was hopeless. I couldn't stop him. Ba scored. It was over.

We lost 2-0 and Manchester City went on to win the title. I had wanted to win it with Liverpool for so long that, now it had gone again, I could not hold my emotion in check.

I had also given absolutely everything of myself to Liverpool: in training, in almost 700 games, off the pitch, around the squad and as part of the club, the community and the city.

I could not have done any more. I had squeezed out every last ounce of ambition and desire and hope inside me.

Instead of hitting a long crossfield pass to set up a goal, making a decisive tackle or curling the ball into the back of the Chelsea goal to seal our victory, I had fallen over.

The Kop, and the whole of Anfield, had sungYou'll Never Walk Alone again, of course, but, in the car, I felt isolated. I felt very alone.

The Liverpool anthem reminds you to hold your head up high when you walk through a storm. It reminds you not to be afraid of the dark. It reminds you to walk on through the wind and the rain, though your dreams be tossed and blown, and to walk on with hope in your heart.

I did not feel like I had much hope left. It seemed like I was heading for suicide watch instead.

He regrets what he coudl have won. No doubt. I suspect he woudlnt have wanted to join United but there will always be a 'what could have been' feeling in the back of his mind for both clubs.

Anyway, whats this about his knob falling off before the scouse derby?

Hmmm, still can't see the bit where he says " I regret joining Man Utd..."

"I'd have done ok in that team" is a simple statement of probability, and doesn't convey desire or regret to those of us who comprehend English reasonably well.

Do you think he regretted the last 10 years? Its pretty clear but you guys are mighty good at covering your eyes and shouting lalalalalala.

He seems angry that he didnt win the title, not Liverpool. Just him. He seems like he believes he was above everyone else and some of the comments regarding England, especially the captaincy suggest hes a massive bellend.

However, I am convinced his ghost righter was a United fan or a Toffee and Gerrard didnt, or couldnt read it so just signed it off.

  14. You could take it as him saying he excelled at Liverpool but wouldn't have been as good elsewhere. Afterall, he was phenomenal for us but suggests he'd only do "okay" in that team <whistle>

Can't be arsed copying and pasting England crap but you mean his complaints about being dropped as captain in a toilet by Pearce for Scott Parker or the fact that he wasn't taking some pissant complaints the the masseuse wasn't closer from some prima donnas?

Gerrard has recently revealed that Brendan Rodgers used to make him text top players to try to attract them to the club.

"Rodgers used to give me an envelope with a name and number each week,

I was told to text the players to encourage them to join. At first it was fairly innocent, mostly cooking related. Rodgers would tell me to say I wanted to eat Willian's truffle butter, suck nuts, or even something about a salad being tossed once or twice."

"I couldn't understand why some players avoided me after that. It was just cookery, I didn't really want to eat John Terry's wife's blue waffles whilst he watched anyway. I don't like waffles. Terry was quite angry with me afterwards. Rodgers insisted I text them word for word."

"Later Brendan got weird and asked me to text about eating animals. Cocks, trouser snakes, talked about licking Coleen's beaver. It was all very bizarre, but Brendan said no matter how bad I played if I sent the texts I would stay in the first team."

" I would still be at Liverpool today if Rodgers didn't ask me to say I wanted to eat Aguero's wife's pussy. I love cats and after the Anfield cat experience I couldn't consider eating one.

My texts really didn't help much. The only player it attracted was Balotelli. I had to explain to him the text wasn't mine. He couldn't get in my drawers. They're antiques and his jewelry would scratch the insides. After that Mario just gave up trying at football as if he didn't want to be there."

  18. I'm sure a lot of players have regrets when it comes to winning things. Selling your soul to do so isn't the same as earning it though.

Whatever you think of him [not you personally, anybody] his loyalty has to be commended when you look at the teams who wanted him and what he would have won had he joined any [or all] of them. He gave up a massive medal haul, no doubt whatsoever about it, and that says a lot and which is why I believe we will miss that commitment in the future <ok>

Anything to stick the boot in now that we're playing terribly. I reckon he (Rodgers) could donate to charity and he'd still be criticised for it.

If we signed a great player by doing this and we were doing well people would be praising Rodgers for using every resource at his disposal.
