After seeing all the threads recently about starting line ups and striker partnerships, I don't think anyone has put German down as a starter. I know MA likes to rotate his team and the German would know this from his short stint with us last season but as he was the first striker we signed of the 3 I wonder how MA sold it to German. Did MA make it known at the time that he was looking for 2 more main strikers and did he give any guarantees to German about playing time.

A lot of people have suggested German would be a great sub impact player, but at this time in his career is this something he wants?

Looking at the 4 main strikers (not including Birchall at the moment, as I think maybe sent out on loan if not sold) a few people have suggested Cody and Bayo up front with Kedwell playing just behind. If MA sticks with a 2 up front I can see Bayo / Kedwell fighting for one position with Cody / German fighting for the other. Cody and German could even play together up front with Whelpdale and Weston on the wings in a 442 formation. I can't see Kedwell and Bayo up front even though that would scare defenders!!!

German will get playing time and I would expect against team where we identify pace as a weekends German and Cody could be very likely to start together with Weston and Dack supporting. Him starting regularly is going to depend on injuries and how he develops, given what people are saying about his potential if he reaches it quickly who knows. Cody could be forgotten about very quickly!
