Thanks for that Sportydan. With the exception of Massa's final stop, Ferrari had some of the quickest stops in the race.
Best Driver: Hamilton Worst Driver: Buemi, poor old nick Heidfeld. Best Rookie : maldonado Best Team: Mclaren Worst Team: HRT Best Overtake: Hamilton on Alonso Funniest-moment: nothing sticks out Most Surprising Result: Webber finishing in front of Vettel Least Surprising Result: Massa Special Mention to: Kobayashi and Sutil who could quite easily be drivers of the day but we didn't get to see them much (seriously, when are the TV directors gonna learn to watch Kobay at the start?) Race Rating: 8/10. plenty of overtaking with and without DRS
so everyone agrees that despite the ferrari being faster than the RB and Vettel managing to beat one of them, the worst driver wasn't Massa? I didn't see him drive someone off like Buemi, or finish last a lap down on the HRTs like Chandhok. no, it has to be Vettel who finished 1 place lower than his start. what a joke.
I dont think Vettel deserves to be the worst driver, he didnt actually have a bad race, crash into to someone and not finish. He had a difficult race and finished 4th. Im not defending him, but he shouldnt be the worst driver.
people don't look at it objectively at all, just play favourites, I try to be objective, and am overly objective tbh, I could've put my favourite driver (kobay) as driver of the day for nearly every GP this season, but i havn't once, I even gave webber DotD once!! come on people vote the way it is, not the way you want it to be.
I think a lot of people voted Vettel as the worst driver of the day because he had a very good opportunity to show that the view he can't race wheel to wheel and overtake is BS but instead he reinforced it.
I think 'best' and 'worst' are comparative terms and necessarily subjective, and therefore influenced by hopes and expectations (see Mifune's comment - above). An easy example of this is seen in the way people are rating the quality of races. We are becoming familiar with some very exciting stuff (as compared to the recent past) and as expectations rise, so will disappointments when expectations are not met. Another example is Manny who whilst clinging to hopes of future glory, has lowered his expectations of Schumacher and now rates performances accordingly; having overcome what must have been great disappointment.
Best Driver: Hamilton Worst Driver: Vettel Best Rookie: Di Resta Best Team: Force India Worst Team: Renault Best Overtake: Hamilton around the outside of Fandango, pretty bloody neat.
