I'm just loving the options....none I believe have topped their potential. The competition might get them there...I say might but it's with a threat that they may not be in a team if they don't...and if Klopp does it right it hurts them if they fail..rather than "I'm ok...it's the managers fault I'll be ok when he goes..." On that...can we name the players that have played enough minutes so far that haven't improved? I think of one but I'm really hoping it will work on him too as he's young....Being positive like....cause I as a ****e player I played great golf today at a charity match...then sat in a bar full of Uniteds as we played pretty good....good day!
Yep, loving that fans are disagreeing on the strongest starting line-up based on quality rather than who is the least **** for the first time in a few years. The only sure starts we have at present are Clyne, Matip, Lallana, Firmino and Mane imo
He exposes Can for the inexperienced n00b that he is ... Wijiti grub was top tonight wrigglin all over the pitch
I guess that shows how desperate Everton were to get players in. Koeman saying he tried everything to get Sissoko just show's he's off his rocker.
They tried to waste money on Bolasie and Sissoko just to avoid the shame of having a -£28m net spend after promising £100m of investment in the squad
I was one of those who didn't understand his signing (mainly because i thought there were areas that £25m could be better spent) but have to admit to being pleasantly surprised at how well he has settled in. His work going back to cover holes has been the thing that has most surprised/pleased me . I think excellent every game is pushing it slightly though
He's done well, especially yesterday, but I think this praise might be a little over the top. Its only been 5 games and I'm not convinced the Wijnaldum & Henderson partnership in midfield gives us enough grit and defensive cover when we aren't on the front foot. When we are on the front foot and playing like we can at our best its quite easy for someone like him because he's almost playing as a no.10 we are so high up the pitch, its when we are under a little pressure that our whole midfield seems to go missing and I reckon maybe if we had someone with a little more steel in there e.g. Wanyama, this wouldn't happen as regularly.
He's proven to me that he's not a number 10, for sure. The main issue people had when we bought him was 'why are we buying a number 10?'. He's a number 8, and he'll get plenty of assists this season imo. Great awareness, movement and a very clever player. Excellent in 4 out of the 5 games then
I think the role that Gini plays won't allow him to gain the plaudits as easily others but it's quietly effective. If we were to move Gini into Lallana's role (which is the more the attacking B2B) we will see more from him.
But Lallana has been excellent this season, and is now starting to add goals to his game. If Can does come straight back into the team, Klopp has some very tough decisions to make.
Jimmy is still complaining about Migs, Lovren, Milner and Lallana despite playing well mate #brokenrecord
Milner has done very well at LB so far, been very impressed. So many things that aren't fitting with Jimmys agenda at the moment
