George Kinnell RIP

Former player George Kinnell died at the weekend.
Second cousin to Jim Baxter, he was a no nonsense player who after retiring ran a pub in Sedgefield.

Great player…. Todd, Kinnell, Baxter… what a half back line!
There was a bit of a backlash as some felt McColl had replaced King Charlie owing to his Irishness, but there was no doubting George quality.
